Scott Coker hires extra security for the Noons vs Diaz 2 bout

It looks like the Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker is not taking any chances with Nick Diaz. In an exclusive interview to MMA Fighting, Coker revealed that he hired a "wall of extra security" to make sure that the Nashville Riots will be the only Strikeforce brawl this year. Here's what Scott Coker had to say about his pre-fight preparations for October 9th, and we are not talking about hitting bags:

"I'll tell you what – if we leave those two guys in a room alone, I think you know what's going to happen," Coker said. "So it's up to us – we're going to have a wall of security there. We've brought extra police to handle the weigh-ins, the press conference and pretty much a wall of people will be there for the night of the fight. We have to take precautionary measures because these guys have this big feud – and it's not just them, it's their camps. We're going to make sure that we host it properly, and part of that is adding extra security and police officers, and it'll be fine."

It looks like a smart move for Scott Coker, especially with Nick Diaz and KJ Noons already being involved in a brawl after their fight, three years ago at EliteXC: Renegade. Here's a short reminder about what happened last time when KJ Noons and Nick Diaz met inside the cage:

Strikeforce: Diaz vs Noons II will take place this Saturday on October 9th, at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. It will be Nick Diaz' first Strikeforce Welterweight Title defense, since winning it against Mariusz Zromskis at Strikeforce: Miami in January. Womens Welterweight Title fight between Sarah Kaufman and Marloes Coenen will serve as the co-main event of the night.

The spoprtsmanship is what I cant stand about the two stoners, Diaz brothers. They are not good sportsmen at all. Good fighters... Sure when their heads are not up their asses. I would like to see a rematch for sure so that Diaz can get KNOCKED the F*** OUT!

Last time a fight was promoted as a grudge match it did not lived up to the hype, I do not think we will have that problem here...

Sounds like a huge P.R. move to draw more attention to the event, not that it needs it but Coker needs all he can get trying to compete with the UFC.
