Sarah Kaufman relives her Rampage-style slam moment; Gets 4th spot on ESPN's Top Plays
Posted on July 27, 2010, 07:41 AM by Daniel CassidyOnly weeks ago, Sarah Kaufman was complaining of being "demoted" to Strikeforce's Challengers card, it seems her complaints were justified, as she dominated Roxanne Modafferi. In the bout, which was ended with just seconds left, the Champ proved why she is undefeated, by slamming her way out of an attempted triangle choke, in a slam Rampage Jackson would be proud of.
With such an emphatic win, Kaufman proved her worth. While she may not be as big a draw as Cris Cyborg, she definitely gave fans their moneys worth, by slamming Modafferi to the canvas with just 15 seconds left. Despite Strikeforce bosses not deeming her big enough to feature on a main event card, Kaufman is currently 4-0 under the Strikeforce banner, with all her fights having taken place on "ShoMMA" cards.
Ironically, despite only making Co-Main event status, her fight actually drew more viewers than the Shane Del Rosario vs Lolohea Mahe main event. As well as this, Kaufman was featured on ESPN's top plays of the week, and was rewarded with fourth place for the slam.
When reporters caught up with Kaufman, she was happy to go through the details of the slam, telling reporters how she knew the fight was over as soon as Modafferi's head made contact with the canvas.
With her 12th consecutive win, second straight title defence, and fourth Strikeforce win, and the praise surrounding her win, surely now Scott Coker will accept he now has two fantastic womens Champions in his hands. For any of you who managed to miss the slam, here it is(apologies for lack of quality):

Dam that was pretty nasty!
loke an old school Rampage slam in the pride days
Big slam on a little girl = lights out!!!
they should just kiss and make up right there on national television
More people should use that in a triangle defense. I've been trying to say that forever!!!
Well it only works if you are bigger and stronger then your opponent and the window if opportunity is very short before you have a broken arm.
triangle defense lol. if you have ever trained in jiu jitsu you should be ashamed
actually u dont have to be bigger or stronger just be able to do a basic deadlift of somewhere close to your own body wieght which equals an easy slam, unless they grab your leggs, and a highlight reel KO
And the person youre slamming has to be completely unaware of what youre trying to do
Sarah kicks ass. I've been watching her progress, shes smart too.
Interesting
I'm so proud for her! She is definitely making a statement for women's MMA!
Awesome, but that looked like a headbut KO, not a bodyslam KO.
lmaoo thats such a girl way to celebrate a victory, that dumb bish just flailed her arms like a retard
Great fight ...congrat
