Ronda Rousey: Miesha Tate impressed me with her ground defense
Posted on March 4, 2012, 07:12 AM by Anton GurevichFresh off her impressive victory over Miesha Tate in the main event of last night's Strikeforce card in Columbus, Ohio, Ronda Rousey looked back at the fight that won her the Strikeforce Bantamweight title fight. Despite not "squashing the beef" with Miesha Tate, Rousey gave credit to the former champion for showing heart and technique on the ground, prior to tapping out to the armbar at the end of Round 1. Rousey will now look towards her first title defense, most likely against the former champion Sarah Kaufman.

I think the career of Tates is over. she will never recover 100% from that injury , the arm was bent way too far i think :S
I know that fighters are proud ,but come on, you should just tap out when you get caught in a submission that might break one of your limb if you wanna continue fighting for a living.
You can do show your warrior spirit on a choke and sleep ,its ok , but not on an armbar...
It was a very entertaining fight though ! The best WMMA fight i've seen so far. A lot of actions! Well done Miesha and Ronda
oh sure it's impressive now. but it's only a matter of time before someone finds the answer for the armbars.
Cody McKenzie ring a bell?
I was just as impressed by her shorts
I'm sure that is not all she has.
than why does she only go for the armbar? if she had more ways to win she'd go for them when the armbar doesn't work.
Cody got all those chokes because his opponents put their head in danger.....Rousey gets armbars because she can force the game to the ground and get the sub whether she is on top or bottom.
She will only get more rounded as time goes on and the armbar will always be there if she chooses to use it
Reminds me of Nog fight.
You have to admit it would be extremely difficult to tap to the EXACT thing you repeatedly said you wouldn't lose by.
5 Straight Fights, All 1st round and all by arm bar not 8
She is so sweet...and great fighter of course.
Sweet....Huh. Seems a little brut and sonnen ish with her disrespect towards opponents....But all in all Why do I feel like J THOMSON is lying through his teeth? He will be boring in his next fight and wont change his training methods one bit.
I don't care for what arguments are put forth .. I do not like watching women fight and will never buy a card with women headlining... I don't know if its a genetic thing or a social thing but I can't stand watching women get hurt.. I didn't like them in the army while I was their either .. If they want to train to protect themselves that's fine but I will never enjoy watching a women get hurt... even incidentally in sport..
I dislike this chick,A LOT!!!!!
shocker
