Brett "The Grim" Rogers: I am training for war
Posted on March 3, 2010, 03:52 PM by Daniel CassidyWhile the fight isn't totally officials, both parties have agreed verbally to meet, potentially in April, but it seems Brett "The Grimm" Rogers is expecting to meet Alliastair Overeem, in a highly anticipated match for Strekeforce's Heavweight Championship.
Despite Losing to Fedor, it's fairly obvious, that with Strikeforce's current "renegotiations" with M-1 Global, that Brett Rogers is arguably still the best heavyweight beyond The Last Emperor, so the fight still (sort of) makes sense, despite Rogers coming off a loss.
Speaking via Twitter.com, Rogers said:
“Attn. Alistair ovary want to catch a good american ass whoop'n. I'll update everyone when it becomes offical. Bitch, come see what it feel like to get hit by a real man. Im training for war”
Should said Heavweight bout go ahead, it will be Alistair Overeem's first defense since winning the gold against Paul Buentello in 2007, and will potentially be Strikeforces biggest Heavyweight match up not featuring Fedor Emilianenko.

I think this is a great fight actually, really looking forward to it. Would make sense that the winner of this gets a fight with the champion of the world.
Overroid is simply bigger now, I dont think his actual skill level has changed one bit since his LHW days when all the TOP contenders owned him, even Chuck Liddel who basically only strikes and has some wrestling
i like rogers on this one but I hope Overeem wins so that Fedor vs Overeem fight whould make a sense. And I'd rather see Fedor woop Overeem's ass.

Rodgers is definately a tough guy, but how can he be the best when Fedor just beat him in his last fight? Strikeforce is begging Fedor to go to the ufc.

This title fight is a farce. Strikeforce is looking like a piss poor organization at the moment. It's unfortunate, the Hendo vs. Shields card is not half bad.
I see it this way. IF Overroid even passes the drug test, win or lose, he will not fight for strikeforce until Fedor is gone. There is no way in hell that if he beats Brett Rogers that he will stick around to fight Fedor. If he wins, they will bring Fedor in the ring, start up all of this hype, and Roidhead will disappear until he starts showing up for Japan organizations at 400 pounds of muscle. This guy don't want any part of Fedor, or anyone else when he can't use roids. How does everyone fail to see that? It will be very surprising to me if this fight actually takes place.

I don't understand this fight. How the hell can you give a guy a title fight when he got Koed in his last fight. Strikeforce is gonna epic fail if they keep making stupid ass moves like this.
The Strikeforce fans wanna see Fedor wit the title. He has earned a title match, he beat Rogers. They will lose fans if they don't quit being jackasses...
People need to realize that Overeem was nowhere in the picture when Fedor was setting up his next fight. This might be a blessing in disguise for Strikeforce seeing how it ensures more great HW match ups later on.
It does not ensure great match ups because Rogers and Fedor have fought and may fight again but Overemm is killing the company. Scott Coker is a moron for letting him kiip that title so long with no defense. It means nothing anymore. they need to strip him of that belt and forget him. Rematches is all that is intriguing about the HW at strikeforce. Aside from bigfoot silva they got no young talent. All this biz with Overeem is hurting them too bad.
