Nick Diaz discusses his win over Paul Daley, says "it wasn't a fair fight"

Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz, who successfully defended his title against Paul Daley at Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley, discusses the victory, as well as rumors that he may receive a suspension following the bout.  Diaz says that it "was not a fair fight," because of the frequency he has been competing and feels as if Strikeforce may be trying to "get rid of him."

Diaz stood toe to toe with Daley for much of the opening round before finally putting the Brit away seconds before the end of the first stanza.  The victory marks the Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu fighter's third consecutive title defense, which breaks the promotion's record for consecutive defenses.

That day will never come. There will always be more people who enjoy watching fighters beat the shit out of each other for 15 minutes than people who enjoy watching 9 hours of running, swimming and biking.

Joe Rogan and Eddie Bravo (and many others in MMA that you don't know about b/c they don't have the balls to stand up to an ignorant culture full of people like you) smoke it often too. However, you don't see them acting this way in interviews. Diaz is just immature. It happens.

Drugs also affect different people in different ways. I know a friend of mine who tried lsd for a short while like 2 or 3 weeks with some of my other friends who were doing it for about 2 years and he ended up dropping out of becoming a computer programmer because he actually has dual personality disorder now and I feel now I have lost a friend because any time I see him he's just simply gone. I know weed is not the same caliber though. Another friend of mine took 16 grams of mushrooms in 2 hours and he has never been the same since but that was obviously a bad dose considering it was laced as well. Some people turn into different people just from a drinking habit and others that would normally be able to think while smokin can't when they are not because of dependance.

You said it your self. He had a disorder already. the LSD just made it more obvious. Clearly not everyone should use some things and shit like crack should never be used but for some these things are good. Bravo says that without weed there would be no 10th Planet system and without LSD I would still have epilepsy. Because of the way it allowed me to consciously perceive and manipulate my brain function I have been seizure free for 14 years.

He never had such a disorder until he took the drugs man. You missed the word ''now''.

Lysergic acid diethylamide, abbreviated LSD or LSD-25, also known as lysergide and colloquially as acid, is a semisynthetic psychedelic drug of the ergoline family, well known for its psychological effects which can include altered thinking processes, closed and open eye visuals, synaesthesia, an altered sense of time and spiritual experiences.

All of which happened after he took it.

did you know marijuana has a 0% addiction/dependance rate? lol it's becomes a habit but does not effect the way you act or think. you might lose a little memory but thats about it. I smoked up to 11 grams a day for almost 2 years of always good bud, and when I got put on parole I stopped immediately and I have never had a problem like Nick. it's not the weed

everything u said there was true, I been smoking for many years and still do, I work out everyday, and run,i still hold down a good job. most ive noticed is im a lil more forgetful, but thats bout it. but that could be from numerous things, old age, to many blows to the head. who knows, but it makes me sick to listen to these fools that try to act like they know what their talking about writing us long ass "stories" on crap he seen on tv, i never seen so many internet tuff guys or so many wanna be know it alls....

Habits can become a dependance and I know personally. You can develop a crutch with weed because it helps you calm down and stay cool. When you don't have weed and you have been using it to cool down when your in a bad way it can make you angry and frustrated much like needing alchohol for a drunk. 0%...lol. I also noticed when I quit smokin weed that a lot of my so called friends never called anymore. Theres always jokes about friends that only show up if weed is around and they only share when it's yours. All signs of someone who is addicted to the life for what ever mental reason. I have seen many guys who spend hundreds and sometimes thousands a month on the stuff and have to borrow money for groceries. I wonder why?

Smoke of anyform is bad for your health and even weed can give you carbon monoxide poisoning. I think a cigarrete is worse but I am just sayin. Mental disorders can happen through smoke inhalation due to brain damage over time. I am not sayin weed is worse than drinking or smoking cigs but regardless it is not harmless and for the wrong individual it could be lethal.

If you notice he also doesn't make direct eye contact and has obvious social issues. My guess would be asperger's syndrome. It is a very low level autism spectrum disorder.

I disagree there. I think he'd be a little less in his opponent's face, taunting and insulting and making them the ones at a loss for words, if he were mildly autistic.

When he is referring to being suspended it is because of the immediate post fight incident. The camera man was following Nick around after the fight was stopped and he confronted and pushed the camera. He should be suspended, that is the second post fight where he has been physically aggressive. Regarding the interview and him in general he obviously has some serious issues, that was not the interview of a healthy normal person.

I think the word you were searching for was a$$holes. Nick and Nate are wonderful fighters, but they both tend to be ****s to just about everyone. Let's not forget that Nick more or less started a riot/gangbeating because Mayhem asked Shields, "Where's my rematch, buddy?"

Personally, I'd love to see a catchweight fight between Mayhem and Nick. Nick knows his mind games won't work on Mayhem. We might actually see him all business for once. I think it'd be a hell of a fight.

he said sth about two weeks notice and for me seems like he didn't want that fight, but like he said he says no, to nobody.

I think he thinks Strikeforce and UFC want to get rid of him. if its not it, sth's really wrong with that guy.

What kind of champion is this guy? Sure he defends a lot, but he complains constantly, even if he wins.

How is them putting him up against worthy opponents mean there trying to get rid of him?

What? so should he be fighting shmoe's?

I don't get what his problem is. He gets paid, he wins, he comes out to fight. So stop bitching.

I thought Nick put on a great fight last night. He beat PD at his own game last night, took a couple of good shots and just kept going for the win. He should be proud, happy and excited.

However, what I see in this interview is the exact opposite; I don't get it. And what is perhaps even stranger, the only time ND seemed to have a smile on his face and some joy in his eyes, was when he was talking about the triathlon and his buddy beating him. Other than that it just sounded like more ND sour grapes, The World is against me - heavy the burden I must carry. He continually makes it difficult for people to really embrace him and become a fan.

I clicked play on this interview - and was hoping to see Nick discussing his well earned win. Instead, I heard some story about him being suspended. Only ND could pull that one off. How do you beat a guy in a very exciting one round fight and then have the possibility of you being suspended raised as an issue, for your post-fight actions? And all while the new boss is ringside.

And as great a fight as it was - I didn't see anything in there last night that the big fish in The UFC @ 170 have to worry about; certainly not GSP.
