NSAC: King Mo tested positive for steroids at Jan. 7th Strikeforce event
Posted on January 17, 2012, 11:46 AM by Anton GurevichAccording to Nevada State Athletic Commission, Muhammad "King Mo" Lawal has tested positive for anabolic steroids at January 7th Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine fight card. The event took place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The forbidden substance found in King Mo's body is Drostanolone. Wikipedia tells the following about the substance: "It is most commonly marketed as the ester drostanolone propionate (trade name Masteron). Drostanolone has been used for bodybuilding, though its high cost has made it used mainly in cutting cycles."
Lawal joins Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos, who also failed the same drug test on January 7th. Other fighters on the card all tested negative for banned substances, including the main eventers Luke Rockhold and Keith "The Dean of Mean" Jardine.

He isn't my fav fighter or anything like that just like the guy and the way he fights, a wrestler who trys to knock your head off.
Since losing the belt he looks well improved and was hoping to see in the future how we would do in the UFC but if this news stays as it is and he is guilty then he just lost my respect and if he is needing juice to take on Lorenz Larkin he wouldn't going far in the UFC.
Seems ot be a lot of fighters getting popped as of late and I would think Mo would be smart enough, being involved in olympic wrestling and all, to stay away or get away with the steroids but then again same thing happened to old Uncle Chael.
Funny how everyones gettin mad at you with their weeks because you are showing some backbone for the anti cheaters.

My question is... When are all of the MMA Fans going to learn, that almost EVERYONE in MMA uses Steroids.
You can try to live in your little perfect bubble, trying to convince yourself that everything is fair and everyone has honour as much as you want.
I trained with a lot of guys and they all use steroids. It makes you stronger, increases muscle density, which in turn strengthens your joints and increases speed, agility and muscle movement.
And most importantly... It helps you heal SUPER quick from nagging injuries sustained in training that would otherwise prevent you from fighting at 100%.
I'd say if I had to give a statistic based on what I know... At least 90% of MMA fighters use steroids in training.

Its makes you rise to the occasion and it doesnt go down...but if you are on the juice for too long...it will do the reverse and not let you get hard at all.....thats why you have to cycle the used dosage

only at strip poker....Hunter if you've ever had a kick from a footballer or a thai boxer or a punch off a boxer then you will know just how powerful these athletes are without taking peds and the reason Steroids are so dangerous ..that little extra power in a punch or a kick can end careers.....anyone taking them knows full well the risks this has for their opponents and but still takes them , so when caught they should be banned for life....

All of these steroid cases are very unfortunate for the fans and for the sport. However, I don't support making the punishment outweigh the crime just because it's rampant. For example, we can't punish petty theft with 30-year sentences just because it happens a lot. Eventually, these steroid cases will seriously tarnish the sport, and if it does - no one will be doing this for a living any more.
I understad where you are coming from but some may not consider this a petty crime cnsidering it may very well cost them 65000 bucks for a loss they may have won. Then it becomes a bigger theft in their eyes. Stealing a hairdryer just keeps it at a hairdryers price.

Needless to say Mousasi will probably fight Feijao for the SF LHW title. All hopes for queen more are gone. No UFC and no Strikeforce belt.
