Miesha Tate vs. Ronda Rousey: Greatest Hits
Posted on February 28, 2012, 05:15 PM by Joey SantosusMiesha Tate will put her Women's 135-pound title on the line when she meets Ronda Rousey in the Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey headlining bout, set to take place this Saturday night from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
Undefeated since 2009, Tate defeated Marloes Coenen to capture the the title back in July. The victory extended her current winning streak to six and solidified her place as one of the best female fighters in MMA.
Rousey, meanwhile, heads into the bout with just four professional fights to her name, having last defeated Julia Budd in just 39-seconds at Strikeforce Challengers 20. To date, "Rowdy" has submitted each of her opponents in the opening-round via armbar, including three amateur victories.

Curious to see how Ronda's weight cut goes. Also interested to see what her striking is like. I think Meisha may have a bit too much experience and allround skills. Still, if Ronda gets hold of her then I think she will win.
she said in an interview a few days ago that she is at 138 now
First time i am looking forward to watching a wmma fight. We get to know a lil more about their personalities and the rivalry, trash talk gave them more media attention.
I really dont care about their looks and focus on their skilsl even tho i won't mind a boob slip round 2.
Hope Ronda smashes that smirk off her face :)
I'd hit that...
The promotion these two are getting is crazy, i'll bet my house that this fight won't make the top 100 fights of 2012. not interested.
I think Rousey is going to turn out to be the next big thing in womens MMA, i think she'll beat Tate without too much difficulty, Tate just hasn't had solid opponents untill now. The only real star to emerge on the womens scene so far has been Chris 'Cyborg' Santos, the rest have been scrappy fighters with not a lot between them, with the exception of a few japanese fighters too. I genuinely think Rousey is going to be the next 'star'. As her record so far shows her jiu jitsu is off the charts and from what little stand up i've seen she looks better than the average chick, she is big and strong for her weight class too. I know it's early days yet but she definately has the potential and the tools to be big in the womens game, and she's gorgeous too...... : P
