King Mo vs Gegard Mousasi official for April 17th
Posted on March 1, 2010, 05:36 PM by NinjaIt is official now, the undefeated Muhammad "King Mo" Lawal will face Gegard "The Dreamcatcher" Mousasi on April 17th for the Light heavyweight championship.
King Mo is currently undefeated and has defeated seasoned veterans like Wiuff, Kerr and Whitehead, and now he will try to move up to harder competition when he face Mousasi for the title.
The war of words between the two fighters has already begun, as King Mo has called Mousasi "Kermit the Frog" and Mousasi has retaliated by saying "Mo will pay for his comments inside the cage".
Mousasi is currently riding a 15-fight win streak including opponents such as; Hector Lombard, Denis Kang, Melvin Manhoef, Ronaldo Souza, Babalu Sobral and most recently Gary Goodridge. Mousasi will try to carry his momentum into April 17 and will try to go for 16 wins straight.
Mousasi vs King Mo will be the co-main event while, Henderson vs Shields will serve as the main event of the Strikeforce on CBS event at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

nobody else think this will be a better fight than Shields and henderson?? its too 1 sided, i think this would have made a better main event, but i guess its hendo's name thats the big draw

Ya, this fight is easily bigger than Henderson fight, but i guess SF is trying to build shields and henderson more because theres a chance of mousasi leaving sf in the summer
This is a great match up of two strikers. Both are young up & coming fighters. Too bad Mousasi is a lot better on the ground.

I think Mousasi will KO Mo with an up kick in the second round. And while you can criticize Mo for his big mouth, he would never have gotten this fight without it, not at this stage in his career.
King mo is way too athletic... mousasi is really good but he never faced an athletic wrestler like this before .

Mousasi has an incredible record at the age of 24.. 31 wins 2 losses 1 draw..
both of his losses were early in his career and both by submission... I can't see Gegard losing this, he will be too smart and a step ahead of King Monkey.
