Josh Thomson: I got the win, but I hate fighting like that
Posted on March 4, 2012, 12:22 PM by Joey SantosusFormer Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Josh Thomson, who returned from a 15-month layoff to defeat K.J. Noons in Ohio, looks back on the match-up and discusses his fighting future. Thomson expresses disappointment in his performance, explaining that he "hates fighting like that," but promises that he will not let his fans down in his next outing.
Josh Thomson
"I'm very disappointed in my performance. We tried something new for this camp, I had a long camp, 12-weeks - plenty of time to get in shape. The 15-months off, coming back, I got staph twice, so that was two weeks of my camp gone. I also got sick in the middle of that, and I just couldn't train as hard as I needed to. ... I got the win, but I hate fighting like that. It disappoints me that people boo. It's the entertainment business - that's not the way I like to win. ... There's no excuse, it was a sh-t fight."

We hate to see people fighting like that too Josh ... You're never gonna be a fan favorite and a people champ like Tito Ortiz and Sonnen. Because even if they are wresler, they always put their heart and soul in the fight, and the fans can feel their passion. But you, Josh, you are absolutely boring ,just like the son of a Fitch (bitch) in the UFC.
Melendez will destroy you easily.
10 rounds of evidence suggests that Melendez will have a very tough time with him.
Josh looks really dumb now for talking all the trash about the womens main event.
Logic.
YOU SUCK
No prob Josh. You've put on some great fights and I look forward to your next one.
Gilbert will absolutely whoop Josh Thomson ass...
Based on?
Im assuming based on his poor performance on Saturday night.
Dont like to say Lay and Pray but......Thomson was straddling Noon's legs pretty hard
Well, I'm glad you noticed that no one likes a lay N pray artist.
