Posted on May 20, 2012, 09:09 AM by Anton GurevichLast night, Strikeforce concluded its 8-man Heavyweight Grand-Prix, with a great main event fight between Josh Barnett and Daniel Cormier, as Gilbert Melendez defended his title in a trilogy bout with Josh Thomson. Cormier and Melendez left the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, victorious, both via judges scorecards.
Strikeforce will return on July 14th with a promising Luke Rockhold vs. Tim Kennedy fight card in Portland, Oregon.

DC looked good. So did Josh even though he list a close decision.
Wouldn't say he looked good except that his chin looked outstanding. When one of the most experienced and most veteran guys in the division gets dominated by a relative baby int he sport then it's not a great look.
I just wonder if Josh's broken hand played a big role?

wasn't close at all.
Josh proved he had the heart of a champion last night; there were several times that he could have quit and no one would have blamed him. But he kept going.
Talking about Barnett not quitting there.
That slam was beautiful.
You have to realise that he is picking up a 245 pound weight but the most impressive thing is he did it on a single leg!!! That's like a weight bar with 240 lbs on it and picking it up from one end, bringing it above your ahead and slamming it on the floor. Wow
