Jose Canseco en route to Strikeforce?

Despite saying the above quote only a few weeks ago, it seems Strikeforce officials have changed their minds, with regards signing the Baseball Legend. The above image of Canseco at lunch with Strikeforce officials Scott Coker and Rich Chou appeared earlier today on Canseco's official twitter site.
Despite Canseco owning a 0-1 record since being thrown manhandled by Hong Man Choi, he still managed to call out Herschel Walker, the well decorated former footballer who dispatched of Grag Nagy at Strikeforce: Miami, saying
"I guess i may have to show Herschel Walker who the real bad boy of the sports industry is. If the powers that be are reading, i want in!"
While neither fighter is of any serious caliber, a fight between the two would undoubtedly bring much attention to any Strikeforce card. If it does occur, the April card is the most likely candidate, given Fedor's fight against Fabricio Werdum being pushed back, leaving a huge hole in the card.

Canseco is a joke, he's going to bring mma down, please don't let him fight in big events
yea, I think Strikeforce is trying to get away from the novice image that recently got bashed by the UFC.
I think its wise to let sports figures get their experience somewhere else, then come to talk when they actually have a record in MMA.
I say let him fight!! just put him in there with someone who will show him that he should never fight again.

I haven't seen Jose fight yet so I dunno what to say... he should compete with Forrest Griffin in the 100m sprint. He's good at running in the ring.
He looked pathetic against HongManChoi his only fight.

HongMan is kind of a gatekeeper, if you can beat him, you have a good chance in MMA.
If they sign this guy I am done with them. I am happy to see other companies, other than UFC, promote MMA fights but I want to see real marital artists and MMA athletes compete. I don' t want to see circus freak show events. It calls into question the integrity of their entire organization. Pathetic.
There's no reason to believe that they won't sign him.

I want them to sign him. Just so he can go, and get his ass beat by everyone. I also hope he gets his fight with Walker. That way Walker can beat his ass into quiting.
If he couldn't get past Choi what makes him think he can compete with anyone else.
lol he is probably just stalking Coker and sat down quickly while a friend took a picture, and is now using it to work up a moment for the fight, trying to force Scotts hand, that is my bet.
Its dumb im a big fan of every sport but i hate when people who fight for a damn hobby think they can fight anyone in the world just because they played football or rugby i love sports but they dont have the passion for this the only to people i respect for their transition is Bobby Lashley and Brock. Next thing we kno Canseco will beat Walker and call out Fedor and Overoid its ****in stupid...
It just goes to show the talent in StrikeForce. They will let anyone fight there.
They will not sign Canseco. He is a Cirus and would bring Strikeforce down. They need to stay competetive with the UFC!
They already want to sign him, it's simply down to price negotiations.
