Jan Finney: Medical Suspension
Posted on July 2, 2010, 05:35 PM by HipHopMMAThe California State Athletic Commission has released the medical suspension information stemming from last weekend's Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Werdum event and it's no surprise that women's competitor Jan Finney tops the list of suspensions following the beating she took from defending champion and women's MMA wrecking ball Cris "Cyborg" Santos.
Finney will be on the shelf for up to 180 days due to an orbital fracture, with additional suspensions of 60 days for facial lacerations and 45 days for precautionary measures after her second-round TKO loss to Santos. The three suspensions will run concurrently, meaning that as soon as the orbital injury is cleared by a doctor, Finney will be allowed to compete again.

Damn Cyborg...
I blame the f ucken ref that let her get the sh it beat out of her instead of stopping the fight.

damn!!!!!!! men if this shit happens in the streets cyborg will be lock up for 50 years now hahahahaha...
Wow I knew she got beat up pretty bad but wow thats pretty bad...
This is probably why gina doesn't want to fight again :S
Fight should of never happened in my opinion. Finney never had a chance.
Finney is a fighter ...she won't stop no matter what... she's got more heart than most of the guys in the sport... BUT... that is what the referee is there for... to judge when it is time to pull the plug.
I also blame her corner... they should have thrown in the towel if they really cared about their fighter's safety.
