I still can't believe that Hendo last in that fashion! 205 Hendo losing to a 170pound fighter, my respect to shield but I hope he works that GNP to finish fights cause it's little bit boring watching him fight.

I actually thought Hendo was going to get submitted.

I'm soooo curious: Has Hendo ever trained any REAL BJJ? I mean, how hard is it for an olympic wrestler to learn a basic hip escape from the mount?!?! He gets mounted and then just stays there? And it's not like Shields has any real punching power. I don't understand why he wouldn't go to LA and train at a BJJ academy that's legit. I saw him at 10th Planet training a few years ago but Eddie Bravo only teaches these pipe dream moves and no basics. It's a shame because that could have made all the difference in the world in this fight- and for Hendo's fights to come.

I sure hope Scott re-signs Shields! Strikeforce needs him!

Strikeforce does need to have elbows to the head of a grounded oppenent, it limits GNPers and make it easier to force you oppenent to roll over when you dropping elbows on their face.

In that 1st round it looked like it was gonna be over for Shields pretty quickly but he showed lots of heart especially after getting hit pretty hard & falling face down on the mat. He made Hendo look like he's never wrestled a day in his life.
