"Jacare" Souza eager to fight again, eyes Middleweight title shot
Posted on March 4, 2012, 12:24 PM by Joey SantosusFormer Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza, who defeated promotional newcomer Bristol Marunde at Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey, discusses the fight and reveals a hand injury suffered in the opening-round. Souza pays respect to Marunde as a tough opponent, and says he'd like to return to action as soon as two months time.
"I'm not sure yet, but I'm going to have x-rays to find out if it's broken. I think it was in the first round, when I threw a left cross. If it was broken bad, I wouldn't have kept punching him and hitting him hard. I just wanted to beat him up and win the fight. ... Whoever comes in front of me in the cage, I'm going to go for it and win the fight. If in two months Strikeforce calls, I'll be ready to fight. I'm always ready to fight, so the more fights the better for me. I just want to fight, they can put whoever they want in front of me and I'm going to go there and bang."

This week 4,000 BJJ practitioners are seen bouncing off cages more information as the situation unfolds.
I'm surprised we haven't seen much work from the cage, other then wall walks, etc. until "Showtime" and "Jacare". But we will.
