Herschel Walker's next opponent vows to shut up all the ''Keyboard Warriors'' that have been writing him off
Posted on November 9, 2010, 12:46 PM by Jamie KennedyIn light of the recent announcement of Herschel Walker's next opponent for Strikeforce, a relatively unknown Scott Carson, who will face the former NFL running back at Strikeforce on the 4th December card headlined by Dan Henderson vs Renato Sobral. Carson has been criticised numerously on the internet by fans saying that he's another nobody and probably worse than Herschel's first Strikeforce opponent Greg Nagy. Carson who is 40 years old and 4-1 in his professional MMA career had this to say on the matter:
''I'll tell you one thing. I'm a lot better fighter than the fighter I've been reading about on the internet. This is a huge deal for me, a tremendous opportunity, but you'd think I was nothing going off what has been written by some of these keyboard warriors, who I doubt have ever stepped into a cage. It's alot easier to sit in front of a computer and talk(stuff) than it is to actually fight.... I am trying to take it all in stride, but I have no idea why people are talking so negatively without ever having seen me. They don't know me. I'm pretty well rounded with good stand-up and wrestling.''
'' They say I'm old at 40 but I don't feel 40 and I certainly don't look 40, I think I look 30 and am in great shape, I'm ripped just like Herschel. I'm going to be more ready for Dec. 4th than I have for any other fight. I plan to shut up all the critics, each and every one of them. Let me write something factual after they've see me on December 4th.''
'' I'm really excited about fighting a great athlete like Herschel, I'm training every day. But the fact that some people aren't giving me a chance is only giving me extra motivation. This is going to be a great fight.''
'' I was out a long time because of my back and I did rehab for a while. But I couldn't do anything until I was 100 percent. Once i got healthy again, I got better the more I trained. I've helped a lot of guys get ready for fights while waiting for my chance. I had a few fights lined up before my last fight, but they all fell out for one reason or another, I got to the point for the longest time all I did was train. then the next thing we know I'm fighting. I felt good going into that fight but just got caught. It can happen to anybody.''
Carson evidently not happy what has been written about him, will get his chance to silence all the critics on December 4th, and look to get back to winning ways against former NFL superstar Herschel Walker, which will easily be the biggest fight of his life.

Prediction: Herschel Walker Unanimous Decision
Herschel needs to fight somebody if he wants to earn respect. This is terrible move from Strikeforce. This organization will loose all their fire power to the UFC before you know it and Strikeforce will file for bankrupsy. Pathetic.
I think the UFC is the best promotion by far. The other promotions NEED to have superfights to stay even competitive. However I like it when there are lots of promotions and each are fighting to be the best. It makes the MMA fights so much better.
Scott Carson better grow some thick skin if he thinks this is tough.
Focus on your fight Scott and not what fans type.

I think a lot of people aren't giving this guy a chance. We don't know much about him, and he might surprise us. Look at what Chad Griggs did to Bobby Lashley. That fight was entertaining as hell because Lashley got popped. Carson could be the next Griggs, although I think Walker might have more upside and skill than Lashley.
I think this could potentially be a good fight.
