I remember Overeem in Ireland for UFC 93. He literally begged Dana for a fight/fights in UFC. Dana couldn't believe the size of him (Neither could I) he was at least 30-40Lbs heavier than the last time Dana seen him in Pride back in '03-04 when Chuck finished him in R1.
I don't fancy chucks chances much now :D Overeem certainly makes for exciting HW matchups as he wants to stand, is extremely powerfull with great speed & has not much interest in ground fighting unless he has to mount.
I always liked him & it's basically the Dutch mentality. Very few Dutch fighters if any are c0cky. I can't name any Dutch fighters that I don't like. The greatest of all has To be Bas Rutten & that guy is loved the world over.
I hope Overeem proves me wrong & beats Fedor & defends his title a few more times or gets a UFC contract. But I don't see a UFC contract happening if Overeem wants to continue with K1 & defend his title. Dana's loss in my opinion because Overeem was not only a very successful Pride fighter too but now a K1 (Very prestigious MA title) Champion. If anything I think the UFC could do with a K1 Champion.
I always thought Schilt would return to the UFC after his success in K1. 4 times champion I think. Serious achievement. I always though Bonjasky would be the greatest ever but look at the trend!!!
18 K-1 GP finals & 15 have been Dutch Champions!!!!!! You know where not to go if you're looking for a bar fight :D

Overeem is a sound dude, and a BEAST... I really hope the fight with Fedor happens, that is my dream HW fight in all of MMA!
The Reem documentary was great too watched every episode.

i think he would rape brock lesnar. the Strikeforce HW Division looks much better to me.
