Fedor Emelianenko will finally return to Mixed Martial Arts, facing the Brazilian veteran Fabricio Werdum at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. As the rumors around his possible retirement are growing from day to day, “The Last Emperor” faces the first legit Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt in Werdum, since his war against Minotauro Nogueira in Pride. Emelianenko would want to continue his 2-fight knockout streak, to remind the United States fans that he is still a driving force in the world of MMA.
As for Werdum, the Power Horse made no secret in his pre-fight interviews that he is looking to use his BJJ credentials to submit Fedor. Werdum stated numerous times that it will happen in the first round, which will leave millions of MMA fans around the world in state of shock for the next few months.
