As the rumors around his possible retirement are growing from day to day, “The Last Emperor” faces the first legit Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt in Werdum, since his war against Minotauro Nogueira in Pride. Emelianenko would want to continue his 2-fight knockout streak, to remind the United States fans that he is still a driving force in the world of MMA.
As for Werdum, the Power Horse made no secret in his pre-fight interviews that he is looking to use his BJJ credentials to submit Fedor. Werdum stated numerous times that it will happen in the first round, which will leave millions of MMA fans around the world in state of shock for the next few months.
Despite being a huge underdog, Werdum is set to give his best against Fedor Emelianenko, providing another unforgettable MMA bout.

Just hoping for a real good, competitive fight. Picking Fedor for sure, but would like to see Werdum get to him some and shake things up a bit.

He proved how good he is, by fighting unworthy competition. He's fortunate to have beaten Rogers. He won't beat Overeem if that fight ever even happens. And he wouldn't ever get his hands on the UFC HW belt. He's one of the best ever. But the new generation of fighters are on another level.
He wouldn't beat Lesnar, or Shane, or JDS, or Velasquez. etc. Not sure he'd beat Mir.

Anything can happen, like fedor said... any fight can go either way and hes prepared for either a win or loss... but i think what makes fedor special, is his mindset... you can see how he punches but you will never truly find out what is he thinking about and what is his lethal philosophy that makes him so unique ! Fedor will fight with a clear empty mind, winning or losing... hes to smart to think about that ;) !

Easy win for Fedor...again...Werdum?this guy got KTFO by one uppercut from Dos Santos...He should fight any of the top 6-7 guys in the world like...Velasquez, Dos Santos, Carwin ,Mir, Overeem....but i guess M-1 will never let him..Fedor is the only talent M-1 has...maybe they want him to retire without a loss for the past 9-10 years...just like gayweather....

werdum kept talking about how his game plan was flawless. Maybe Werdum fell on purpose to catch fedor off guard and submit him. Im not making excuses for him but i think it might be possible
It looked like he was trying to pull guard. Watch it without those idiot commentators (pro-Fedor) yelling "THE EMPEROR KNOCKED HIM DOWN!!!"
He said over and over that he would take it to the ground. Pulling guard was a smart move. Werdum deserves all the respect in the world fighting up. I wouldn't have called him top-10 before this fight.
