Fedor Emelianenko vs. Dan Henderson Video Highlights
Posted on July 31, 2011, 03:20 PM by Joey SantosusLast night two legends of MMA collided in the main event of Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson from the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Fedor Emelianenko and Dan Henderson came out swinging for the fences from the very start, with each man being rocked throughout the opening stanza. In the end, it was "Hendo" who would emerge victorious via TKO with just less than one-minute remaining in the first-round.
Below are highlights of the headlining bout, as well as a recap of all of the night's main-card action:

DAN HENDERSON IS THE GOD OF WAR
Taking two shots from Fedor, reversing a bad position and then Hendo knocks him out with an uppercut from underneath his armpit?
Simply put, that is one of the best KO's I've ever seen. Or what x91 said.
yes, i had not seen the fight yet, so i did not post on the other links about if i thought it was a just or premature stoppage, but after watching this hilight, its definatly just. fedor went out, simple as that, and his turning over to face dan as the fight was being stopped, was rather slow. he still looked quite out of it. maybe he should admit it was a proper stoppage so all the others doubting it will have no arguement.
As I mentioned on a previous thread, often times a fighter does not recall going out, especially when its such a brief flash knockout as this one was. So, I don't think Fedor is intentionally denying being out when he clearly was, he more likely just doesn't remember it occurring and obviously has not had a chance to watch the fight yet.
this reminds me of rampage vs chuck, the shot on the jaw dropped him and made him go limp, then he hit him again and he came round and wondered why it was stopped. The first uppercut put him face down and out, he then carried on hitting him and he seemed to come round. Im a fedor fan but he was done, it was a great stoppage
I just don't see Herb Dean close to the action when Fedor is on top or dominate postion, but watch when it reverses how quickly he gets over there. I'm not disagreeing that Fedor was out. He wasn't out cold, but we all know he recovers faster then anyone in the business. I just think the back head shots should of been stopped or enough to get Hendo off and restart in the up postion. That is the rules and if we aren't going to ref or officate those rules then let's let fighters hit in the back of the head. I hate it when there are rules and fighters or football players don't get penalized for them.
Yeah. The reason for confusion I think is when Fedor went out, Herb steps in to stop it, but then after Deans arms in there and hes trying to get Dan off, Fedor turns over and puts his hands up.
He already stepped in, he couldnt just change his mind at that point.
this reminded me of when dan knocked out renzo gracie. the punch was so fast it was hard to see it live. i actually thought the ground caused fedor to be knocked out til i saw the brutal shot delivered on the replay. congratudations to dan. this is a huge win that will add to his legendary status. i would like to see him get another shot at silva just because he deserves it. whether he wins or not doesnt matter. he's still the man.
I wasn't too sure how it was gonna go down but it definately wasn't an early stoppage, Fedor hit the matt face first after taking that uppercut and even after Herb pulled Hendo off Fedor was still in cuckoo land, good call imo. Props to Dan he looked awesome yet again. I've always thought Fedor to be over rated but i kinda feel sorry for him now. I wonder if he'll retire now seeing as that was his last fight on his SF contract. It was aslo Dans last fight in his contract too so i wonder what his next move will be, he'll probably sign another SF contract and defend his LHW belt a couple of times........
First thing: that music cue when Fedor's walking entrance kicked in was epic. Second thing: I walk like Fedor through Walmart all the time. Everyone gets out of my way. At the banana stand, only one batch of bananas was left and this 400lb man saw be turning the corner and from the cereal isle, in full Fedor strut -- he dropped the bananas and took a step back. R E S P E C T.
Third: that was stopped way too godamn soon. Fedor lost electrical signals to his arms for a second from the jolting hit, but recovered. Dan saying he would of KO'ed him more is just bullshit. I'll fight Hendo next. Make it happen, Coker.
I dont see this as a knock out, I think it rocked fedor, but u see fedor flip over onto his back almost instantly after he hits the mat. It looks like it would have then gone into some ground and pound with Hendo in full guard. BTW I did not see fedor go unconcious, or take numerous shots while not defending himself either. Fight was over in a couple seconds...
to put it in a nutshell for u guys, the ref Herb Dean, did not give fedor even 2 seconds after he hit the canvas. It looked like he got rocked but knocked out... cmon, that's ridiculous.
LOL... I meant side control not full guard!
He did not turn around on his back almost immediately. He hit the mat face first took a few more shots and then turned around.
watch the replay again my friend and you will see Fedor clearly suffer what's known in the game as a "flash knock out" and he immediately face planted into the matt, you also see Fedors head rattle with the force of the uppercut than Hendo caught him with, when he rolled onto his back he did it on instinct after coming round but he didn't come around proplerly because he wasn't defending himself and you can clearly see he's still not "there" He staggered all over the place when he got to his feet too. It WAS a good stoppage imo, to say you didn't see Fedor go unconcious you must need your eyes tested, have another look, this time with your glasses on!......: )
