Just for that Overeem is going to knock him out with that arm specifically.

with all due respect to werdum, he done the unthinkable submitting Fedor but i think everyone is getting far too carried away in ranking him 1st,2nd even 3rd in the heavyweight class. Overeem is on a crushing streak, his takedown defence is sturdy and lets not forget it was fedor who made the mistake by following werdum to the ground in such a rash manner. he over estimated his punch. overeem by 1st round tko via strikes

I wish he would of gave Fedor his immediate rematch but he flat out

of had a rematch.,,, I dont think he would stand a chance....but there will

    be some great fights

Only sub's I see Werdum catching Reem with r Armbar or RNC but I think Reem will most likely power out of other subs like Triangle's, Kimura's etc...dont see this fight going like there first fight at all

He caught Fedor. I don't see Overeem getting caught judging by his last few fights. To take that a step further, I don't see Fedor getting caught again if he ever faces Werdum again.

I'd hardly call Rogers or Duffee cans! And he absolutely annihilated them and now they're just cans...yeah! Reminds of how everyone who Bisping beats is just a can AFTER he wins although before the fight they're set to "Hendo his ass!" The fact is Overreem's improved dramatically since he was barely out of high school facing the likes of Chuck Liddel. Beating guys like Vitor, Vovchanchyn and Kharitonov in Pride!! But they were all cans, yeah? Then he improves his striking so much that he wins the K1 Grand Prix and batters Duffee in 19 seconds 3 weeks later. And he's improved his grappling on top of that. Taking all these things into consideration I'd say the only people who'd have a good chance of beating him would be Fedor, Velasquez, Maybe Dos, Carwin and no Lesnar couldn't handle him.

I wouldnt include JDS as having much of a chance IMO. Of all them mentioned though, the only probable fight we will see is Overeem - Fedor. I pray for this fight as it is probably the 2 best HWs on the planet, if not 2 of the top 3.

Honestly I don't blame a fighter if he does not want to fight Overeem. Its probably the most dangerous thing you could do. Shane Carwin too. But props to anyone who actually steps up and fights em.

Seems like Werdum's trying to redeem himself from saying he wouldn't have chosen to fight Overeem. Everyone started saying he was scared as a result of it, and he probably felt compelled to come back with a threat, which now brings the pressure. He played headgames with himself lol.

I watched comments exactly like this before the Fedor v. Werdum fight, everyone made Werdum seem like he was outta of his league and look what happened, I think overeem with probably end up with the win but after werdums last win you cant just count him out

Lesner showed signs of gassing in the Couture fight. If he ever has to fight another man's fight for more that two rounds I think it is safe to say he will gas.

A lot of people are counting Werdum out and I just can't understand why. He submitted Fedor. He has already beaten Overeem (even if it was in 2006). He has TKO wins against Brandon Vera and Gonzaga. He has a win over top ten HW Big Foot Silva. The guy is not an easy fight. It seems like people count him out just because he got KOd by JDS and Overeem has been looking good lately.

Sorry Werdum, I dont think anyone can grab Overeems arms... its like trying to bear hug a tank to death... aint happnin. But what you can do to take out the tank, is use some precise guided missiles, which Fedor happens to have, one on each his fists :D

i agree with t666, even after werdum won he still admitted fedor was the best in the world because he knew he couldn't pull that same shit on fedor again. so when its probably overeem vs fedor it will be the ultimate k1 champ vs the ultimate pride champ it will be the best heavyweight mma fight in the world so far, if its werdum vs fedor you also know you got the 2 best in the world because werdum just somehow outlasted/submitted overeem, either way its all good for fedor and i know he will win it and take back #1 HW in the world, lol @ dana calling his heavyweights baddest man on the planet after fedor wins this, or maybe overeem will win and dana will have problems signing him lol

Overeems got lots to prove beating two KO'd fighters and being K1 champ dosen't mean anything.Fedor fought Shiltt and beat him and Samy was 6 times K1 champ

Not when Fedor fought him. Winning K-1 is significant, because it shows that your striking is better than every other professional kickboxer in the world. When that fighter has an MMA game (like cro cop in '06), then it's especially relevant. Sounds to me like you're just hatin to be hatin.

Sammy is 3 years older than Fedor he was in his late 20's when they foght the diference is K1 was easyer than MMA for Shiltt . If Werdum laast for 2 or 3 rounds Overeem is dead meat is just gona be like Werdum vs Big Foot Silva

Can you imagine though if Werdum manages to get the other arm (not in his face), in a submission, what an upset for the Heavyweight divisions everywhere wouid it be?

He would be remembered not only as the first guy who submitted Fedor but also the guy who is considerred to be the future of MMA heavyweights!

Werdum don't get much love from what I see, but he has beaten both Overeem and Fedor which is an accomplishment in itself. Agreed Overeem is a different beast now and Fedor just eventually got found out fighting people at their strengths and is regarded by many as far superior a HW to Werdum, but none the less he has beat them both.
