Well we laughed when Brock came on the scene, and Lashley's certainly not doing badly though he's fought nobody yet. In Japan guys like Fujita have kicked some arse over the years so I'm goona withold my opinion on Batista for now until I see him fight. He might just be able to inflict some damage or who knows? Maybe Brock is just an anomaly.
there is a massive difference between brock/lashley and this guy. The difference is that brock/lashley are great wrestlers (real wrestling) and batista is a buffed up actor with "muay thai for conditioning" experience.
If they feed him someone totally unathletic, yeah he'll win, just like herschel walker and all the other freakshows that strikeforce put on from time to time. The reason i mention strikeforce is because they will surely sign batista.
I bet you anything that hes going to gas in his first fight, Batista has no wrestling experince while guys like Lesnar and Lashley did, I dont see Batista being successful

What's counting against Big Dave is his age... he's at least ten years older than Brock was when he started in MMA, plus he has nowhere near the level of athletic achievements (outside of WWE). Add the fact that he's always been injury prone and has been banged up in the pro wrestling ring for a decade and his MMA future doesn't look bright. Having said that, much like Herschel Walker, he doesn't have to do this - he doesn't need the money - so fair play to him.
if you guys listened to him he said 'he doesn't expect to be fighting for the championship, he just want to make the transition and to be considered a legit fighter. obviously he aint going to be a brock or anything...but he's a big strong guy with some mma training experience. IMO he's still badder than alot of other guys out there, i think he'll do good, just don't feed him to someone with a big name to fast
You know I probably don´t like Lesnar because all the hype involved around him when he first came into the UFC, I remember Mike G. Asking is he really the next big thing?, but when a guy comes in knowing he was to climb up to be recognized as a true MMA fighter I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt...
Damn now that would be a gigantic match-up! Who wouldn't love to see that? Of course after Batista gets some pro fights under his belt! That would be a mega fight! MMA Orgasm ohhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

I just see Batista being another Marius and gassing trying to hold onto that muscle where Lashley and Lesnar are more natural.

Actually I respect Batista a lot more than I respect Lesnar. He is much more humble and that makes him more susceptible in learning new things.
If he works hard I expect a lot out of him... the only problem is his age... so its a race against time.
More humble inside the ring maybe but Lesnar is all ears & very respectful to training partners & knows he still has lots to learn.
In case nobody noticed, he was a lot more humble after his title fight with Carwin!!!!
