Trying to end a fight quickly after cutting weight is a bad idea...cutting weight hurts cardio therefor trying to stretch the fight would be ignorant. grappling takes more energy then throwing a punch. what should he have done out of curiousity?
I thought Dan would win the last fight (although I thought it would be cool if Shields beat the UFCs #2 MW) and if they fight again I will pick Dan again. The way that Dan answered the question about his health made me think there was a problem but he didn't want to sound like a sore loser.
i never liked Dan all he does is bitch and make excuses and always wants rematches when he clearly doesnt deserve one, happy he left to strikeforce, he belongs there
It was a good fight, that didn't really look like Hendo in there. But, Jake deserves the credit. I would watch a rematch, but this is probably just hype because Strikeforce doesn't want to lose Jake. Hendo doesn't want them to lose him either, he wouldn't get to do the rematch.
But he throws out some very telling things in this interview.
"It wasn't necessarily all about the money."
"...to go with an organization that has MY best interest in mind."
I love how much Dan has contributed to the sport of MMA. I loved sparring with him in Redding. But the truth about this whole thing was money and he was trying to get more than he was worth.
I don't agree with Dana's favorites that are given a free pass, but I definitely don't agree when someone doesn't call it like it is.
Dan did nothing to impress anyone... He should dropp to the bottom of the heap. Dan didn't put it at all on the line. He talked alot of crap to be saying he wants to fight FEDOR....
He couldn't even get pass Shields. Not even close...

you make it sounds like he left you when he went to Strikeforce, you do know the UFC is just an organization not actually your mom.
He just thought he was gonna walk into this smaller organization and easily be top dog. Made him look in the mirror I am sure.
