Ya. Dan's upper-cut from behind caused Fedor to lose consciousness for a second, but Dan's immediate follow-up punches were illegal shots to the back of the head. I can't consider this a W for Hendo. Disappointed.

When you saw Fedor knock Henderson down, you figured it was all over, so then when Dan reversed him and KO'd in the space of about 2 seconds it seemed too quick to you.



It doesn't matter if someone is out for only a few seconds, as long as they aren't intelligently defending themselves. Hard to do, face down on the canvas with you arms at your side.



Sure, it was a flash KO. Quite common with 5 oz gloves. And Fedor did managed to turn over once he came around but waving your hands around like a helpless kitten doesn't qualify as intelligently defending yourself.



And if you think Henderson hit him on the back of the head, what fight were you watching. Hendo hits him twice with a right hook on the side of the head and switches to hammer fists to avoid him in the back of the head.

Instead of being stopped, I believe that Dan should have been warned about strikes to the back of the head. I agree that there was a flash KO but I still don't believe that this was a good stoppage because of the illegal strikes.

Back of the head shots were ILLEGAL. Ref's like Herb Dean need to watch the Steven Seagul and Machida video that showed the rules of hitting to the head. "Top of head, LEGAL. Bottom of head ILLEGAL." Hell even a movie actor knows that.

There's no doubting Fedor's a legend. I don't think he's in the top 20 anymore, but I also don't think this is it for him. He seems so adamant in continuing to fight that I can't count him out.



What I'd really love to see happen is if the UFC signed him for one fight, and he'd take on Cro Cop, and they both could have their retirement fight, and relive that amazing war. But the chances of that happening are virtually impossible, nonetheless, it would be amazing.

it was a good stopage yes there was a hits to the back of the head but it was already over he would have taken punishment for nothing

fedor is my favorite fighter, but dan won this fair and square. fedor was knocked cold after the first shot only to be rudely awaken by more furious shots. if the fight would have gone further, he would have landed the same shot that ko'd feijo and babalu. what else but the h bomb. go dan henderson. a real champion.
