Miller went in there without permission and interrupted shields after the biggest win in in his career, with that said the whole thing is being blown out of proportion

melendez was the first one to touch mayhem....but mayhem was the idiot that walked in the ring.....if he didn't interrupt he wouldn't of gotten jumped

Many people walk into a ring when there is a challenger who nearly got the best of the champ or have a great shot at the championship. Liddell walked in on Tito, Ken on Tito, and it is just to spark memory into peoples minds that the current champ was saved by bell or that the challenge is coming hard. Who cares if it's the biggest fight of your career there will be guys like mayhem that want to try it again and will not get it soon enough. stiring the sh*t with a challenge should be normal and is nothing compared to a raging gang bang response. It looked to me like Mayhem was being calm and unthreatening and Jake and him could have exchanged their thoughts. But then we get the gangster response from the boys because they think they have some sort of honor in a gang bang.

Miller almost had Shields choked out in the last fight. If he had secured the choke a bit earlier, Shields would have tapped. I think that warrants a rematch.

Shields is a Cesar Gracie BB. Jason Miller has killer Jiu Jitsu and is a well rounded and experienced fighter. Hes the only fighter Ive ever seen put guys in high level moves like the banana split, twister and crucifix in live combat. You just dont see that shit even from guys like Maia. I would like to see a rematch. He was out of line, but a good move strategicaly. Gracie camp threw first blows.

Easy for Mayhem to get in there though, considering he does post fight ring interviews for Strikeforce. Nothing wrong with hyping a fight though, I know I wanna see it more now.

Miller was merely hyping the fight. It happens all the time after fights. The difference was Melendez and the Diaz brother's actions.

to be honest, CGT kinda overreacted, Miller just asked a question and melendez and shields pushed him which caused the whole camp to jump him. However, if Miller wasn't there at all this wouldn't hve happened

All the orgs need to only allow the relevant parties in the cage after the fights....I had to pick management.

None of it would have happened if Mayhem wasnt allowed in there in the first place, he had no reason to be there period.

I actually agree with you about that. It's too much like WWF BS if they are calling each other out and getting in each others face. It's ghey. But I still think the Gracie team made asses of themselves.

Mayhem had no business being in there. In the UFC, a fighter gets called into the ring after a fight. He interrupted Shields in a very rude fashion & paid for it.

First of all I loved it. It adds some excitement for Jake shields and mayhem next fights which is something I could never say b4. Plus if you watch the video in slow-mo you will see that Jake was ok with mayhem being there and even tap him on his shirt. Then Melendez push him and then the Gracie team went ape $h!t

I think it builds a nice storyline and excitement for strikeforce upcoming events.

what the hell were the diaz brothers doing in the cage in the first place? nick diaz wasn't running his mouth when he said "don't be scared homie" to kj? the diaz brothers are a couple of b-level fighters with b-level personalities.

which time are u talking about? saturday night nick and nae were cornermen to shields, thats why they were in there. when nick diaz went into the ring after the noons fight, coker and management sent him in there to hype the fight thats the difference...and to call them b level fighters ur talking from opinion not from knowledge

I agree that Mayhem shouldn't have got up there, however the brawl was an overreaction. They are supposedly are professional athletes, however some, do not act that way at all. Its a shame! They did far more damage to the MMA fighter image and MMA community by acting like that, than to prove their loyalty to their friend Shields. Besides, Mayhem did not say anything overly disrespectful, and if you are in this kind of business, you have to expect people calling you out, even at the most inconvenient moment.

There is plenty of blame to go around. Miller has to take part of it so do Melendez, the Diaz brothers and the Cesar Gracie Team.

Why don't you do a poll asking everyone their age category?

It's pretty obvious, at least when dealing with the subject of the Nashville brawl, that most respondents are in the mid teens to early 20s category. The same group that most identifies with "image fighters" " "celebrity hosts" ect. and detest old school talent like the those in the Gracie camp.

If it weren't for attention grabbing/wanting Mayhem Miller being to blame and the fact he hosts Bully Beatoff on Mtv, most of these lil bitches would be loving the brawl at the end of the Nashville card.

Try doing a few searches for current articles written on what went down. In almost every article Miller held for blame.

Grow up lil bitches and get outa the kid stage.

I picked "Scott Coker" only because if he implimented a more strict policy on who goes in the cage after a fight this would have never happend.

Only cornermen should be allowed in the cage and athletic commission officials.

So right there Miller and the Diaz brothers would have never been in the cage = No incident.

Way way way to many people in that cage ! !

If Mayhem went in there and there was only shields and his management then non of this would have happend !

Instead look at the video there are like ****ing 35people in that cage ? i meen come on thats way way to many people !

And you can only blame the strikeforce management for this for allow so many people in the cage at the same time !

Look at other show's Ufc , Wec , Dream , never have i seen so many people in the cage there so i think its realy the strikeforce management to blame here ..

Come on guys, Miller did not do anything wrong here. He walked into the ring, stood next to Shields. Shields then stopped talking and looked at Miller and he simply said, "Where is my rematch buddy?" Obviously joking around. It would have been different if he went in there all pissed and cussing at Shields. Melendez then pushed Miller and he pushed back, and either Melendez or Shields threw the first punch. So your saying Brock or Rampage, or even Rashad should get JUMPED for asking for a fight??? You guys are dumb to think somebody should get jumped for that.

He was just standing there. Shields could have finished what he wanted to say, it's not like Miller went in there and just grabbed the mic from him. Like I said, it would have been different if Miller went in there and grabbed the mic and just started talking trash ready to fight him.

Most of you people have screwed up memories.

Nick Diaz is notorious for entering cages, challenging fighters for a shot, and then fliping the fingure to people. I cant believe Nick and his brother have the nerve to say anthing to that effect. I dont believe Scott Cocker allows anyone to enter the cage a challenge for the next fight. Melendez started it by pushing, Diaz brothers saw an opportunity and took it...Gilbert & Nick should all be fined and suspended. nate should be fined and suspended by Dana for misrepresenting the UFC.

Scott Cocker is next for being fined. He should have had security watching the cage. Obviously he has a short memory regarding Nick doing the same thing over and over. Plus, I would not let Nick participate in any corner team ever again.
