While only yesterday, Andrei "The Pitbull" Arlovski confirmed he had agreed a 16 month deal with Strikeforce, today sees the announcement of his first opponent, former Dream/Elite-XC">Elite XC Heavyweight Champ Antonio "Big Foot" Silva.

Alex Davis, Silva's manager today confirmed:

“We wanted to fight Brett Rogers, but he didn’t wanted to fight ‘Bigfoot’. Arlovski is a great opponent, a victory over him puts Antonio in a great situation. Our goal is to fight against the champion or Fedor.”

For Silva, coming off a decision loss to Fabricio Werdum, a win could put him in title contention, while for Arlovski, he needs a win desperately to come off his previous 2 first round losses, a 22 second TKO to Brett Rogers, and a first round KO to Fedor.
