So talking to kids and giving them valuable life advice makes him an attention whore? Ok there buddy....
Seriously though, I used to actually teach kids in elementary school, and I understand how valuable these little appearances from athletes can make in a young person's life.
When you have someone like an Alistair Overeem or more well known talk to the children, it sparks something in them, and inspires them whether they know it or not. I'm all for these appearances.
Actually it is not only good for kids but also for MMA, let me explained, this kids are going to run back to their homes and surf the net to find out who Alistair Overeem is (if they don“t know already), they will admire him from now on and some of them will follow MMA from now on.
@Riddle, dude what fcku you talking about? Alistair has a punchers chance of becoming UFC top 20? he is an attention whore? he needs to be out there as much as he can as a fighter, he is doing the right I will call an atention whore to someone like Dana who has never fought and yet every UFC event you see him making himself the center of attention posting blogs and crap like that...
sheer size? listen like it or not i've been lifting weights since i was 14 and know nearly everything about bodybuilding,, trained like a demon for years ate steaks protein powders till the toilet couldnt take it anymore and moved out of the house but i know one thing you dont get that big naturally and i remember overeem been preety skinny and 1 year or two he was huge, Come on now, and not to mention he's dutch where its as easy get as it is get rice in china, and dont give me this crap well he passed the drug tests, its alot easier pass than people really know, and just watch how he throws brett rodgers around like a doll, so in my eyes these kids are been fooled that they can get dis big without drugs and to ask him to be a role model for kids NO THANKS, I think he's a ok bloke but not the type i would want my son to admire
Strikeforce needs Bas and the voice doing their commentary because frank shamrock and mauro renallo are pretty unbearable. Plus i really want to here someone yell "Its GOOD NIGHT IRENE!!" when overeem knocks out werdum
I thought it was a little awkward when Overeem was asked to take his shirt off for a bunch of children; and he did. With the skin tight shirt that the guy was / is wearing, is there or could there be any doubt as to what lay underneath? Trust me, you could put AO in a full length fur-lined parka and you'd still look at him and think....####, dude is packing some big muscle under that coat.
Why is Mike Schiavello wearing two big, loud, cheap, shitty watches; one on each hand? Isn't one big, loud, cheap, shitty watch, enough?
Maybe one watch is for minuets and the other for hours or perhaps one is a back-up, in case the other (primary) watch fails. Then again, maybe he establishes time by deducting the (displayed) value of one watch, from that of the other. I'm sure there could be lots of reasons, I guess.
If you have any idea(s) as to why Mike Schiavello would wear two big, loud, cheap, shitty watches at the same time, then please feel free to post your thoughts and musings.

Kid: I want to fight in the UFC someday
Overeem: No you should fight in Strikeforce.
Kid: Why?
Overeem: Because it has the best Heavyweights, and I dont see you being in the Featherweight division anytime soon.
