Dave Bautista from the WWE has announced that he will his have first MMA fight this October. Bautista will fight Rashid Evans (not to be confused with Rashad Evans of UFC fame) for CES MMA League at Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island on October 6th.

The former wrestler tweeted:

Bautista has been training in MMA for a few years under Cesar Gracie and Nick Diaz. Bautista was involved in lengthy negotiations with StrikeForce to fight fellow WWE star Bobby Lashley until the MMA promotion was purchased by Zuffa last year and the deal fell apart.

Outside of Professional Wrestling, Bautista has been acting in several action films including the upcoming Quentin Tarrantino film: The Man with the Iron Fist which will feature UFC fighter Cung Le. He opened his own MMA gym in Florida last year.

one interview i saw a while back with dave was someone asking him what he hoped to accomplish in mma, he said "im not thinking like championships, but that he just wanted to establish himself as a legitimate fighter." another was him asking if he would fight fedor back when he was supposed to debut in strikeforce and he said something like "hell no, fedor is the best heavyweight in the world," and hes also recognized his age and starting mma this late. i havnt seen in recent interviews but it his attitude is the same i think he deserves a shot, and at least he startin in the lower leagues, but i wouldnt complain if he got to strikeforce.

I initially confused it with Rashad Evans lol. I don't know why that bizarro sh** is funny to me.. anyway umm what skills does Bautista have? Does he have a history of competition? Serious question no joking it's just he's not worth my time on Google.
