Bellator 72 recap and results: Amoussou defeats Baker for the Welterweight Title

Bellator Fighting Championships hosted Bellator 72 from The University of South Florida’s Sun Dome in Tampa on July 20. The fights will be broadcast live on MTV2 and in commercial-free HD on EPIX. Karl “Psycho” Amoussou defeated Bryan “The Beast” Baker in the Main Event via tapout to an inverted heel hook at 56 seconds in the first round making Karl Amoussou, the Bellator Season 6 Welterweight tournament winner.
Attila Vegh and Travis Wiuff won their bouts and will go on to face each other in the Bellator 2012 Summer Series light heavyweight tournament final at Bellator 73 on August 24.
Marius Zaromskis defeated Waachiim Spiritwolf by split decision in their third confrontation.

Paul Daley defeated Rudy Bears by TKO at 2:45 in the first round.
Attila Vegh defeated Emanuel Newton by split decision.
Travis Wiuff defeated Tim Carpenter by unanimous decision.
Marius Zaromskis defeated Waachiim Spiritwolf by split decision.
Paul Barrow defeated Jason Carapelluci by rear naked choke at 46 seconds in round 3.
Ben Saunders defeated Brian Warren by TKO at 22 seconds in round 1.
Raul Amaya defeated Kenny Moss by verbal tapout due to shoulder injury at 30 seconds in round 2.
Matt McCook defeated Shannon Slack by split decision.
Julien Williams defeated Ryan DeRocher via Arm-Triangle Choke at 1:32 in round 2.

He didn't win the welter weight title he won the tournament which gives him the right to challenge Ben Askren for the title. Now this is explained in your text but not your title. One word really changes that headline doesn't it?
