Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski will compete for ONE: Fighting Championship 5 (ONE:FC 5) in the Philippines next month, according to a post on the fighter's website. Arlovski is scheduled to fight AFC Heavyweight champion Soa Palelei at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila.
Another former UFC Champion, Lightweight Jens Pulver, will be fighting on the same card against Eric Kelly. Arlovski is coming off of 2 back-to-back victories, while Pulver's last fight resulted in a win 3 months ago.
Palalei is 17-3 and has fought for both the UFC and PRIDE; he is on a 7-fight win streak. Kelly is undefeated at 7-0 and is the top-rated fighter in the Philippines, coming off ONE FC wins against Mitch Chilson and Bae Young Kwon. He is the reigning URCC featherweight champion.
One FC 5: 'Pride of a Nation' is scheduled for August 31, 2012, and is expected to feature the promotional debuts of former Dream champions Shinya Aoki and Bibiano Fernandes, who both recently signed with the promotion.

ONE FC is shaping up to be a pretty cool organization.
You know who would make them better? Jay Hieron.
**** you and your Hieron
The over the hilla in manila.
Do some of you actually like MMA or just the UFC? I'm curious.
I love all Mma. I'm just being honest. Pulver is over the hill and Andre is still a great name but his best days are behind him.
@asdf---I love MMA. Anybody that trains (or even doesn't) has to have a deep appreciation for how difficult it is to put your body and mind through that kind of grind. From Jon Jones all the way down to the lowest rated fighter in the smallest organization these guys (and girls) have some serious skill.
thats my point. Why complain at a card, which you can probably watch for free? If you love a sport and not a brand you would want to watch MMA in almost "any" format, lower ranked fighters or world class.
