ProElite, is expected to announce that they will hold their next event on November 5 at the iWireless Center in Moline, IL. Headlining the fight card will be a bout between former UFC Heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia and former UFC title contender Pedro Rizzo.
MMAFighting.com broke the news about the possible card on Wednesday, adding that another former UFC Heavyweight champion, Andrei Arlovski would fight on the card, meeting Travis Fulton.
Since leaving the UFC, Sylvia has put together a record of 5-3, with his last seven bouts coming above the heavyweight limit of 265 pounds. His most recent bout was a first round TKO win over Patrick Barrentine in August of this year.
Rizzo, will bring a record of 19-9 into his fight with Sylvia, but he will be coming into the fight after a long layoff. Rizzo last fought on July 18, 2010, defeating Ken Shamrock via first round TKO. The win over Shamrock was his third straight victory.
Earlier on Wednesday there were reports that Arlovski and Sylvia would meet for the fourth time on this ProElite card, but MMAFighting.com reported that ProElite Vice President T. Jay Thompson said that fight was not going to take place on the November 5 card.
