Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia (25-6) continues to hit the Mixed Martial Arts Headlines. BostonHerald.com suggests that "The Maine-iac" agreed to face the 5-time World Strongest Man Competition winner Mariusz Pudzianowski at Worcester, Massachusetts near Boston.

Pudzianowski normally weights around 320 pounds, and it looks like the fight against Sylvia (who continues to gain weight) can be easily labeled as the "Clash of the Titans". Sylvia has lost three of his last five Mixed Martial Arts fights and will certainly look to impress against the unexperienced, but yet credible (1-0) Pudzianowski.

The event will be co-promoted by the legendary Eric Esch (Butterbean) and the South Korean Moosin promotion. MMA veterans Rich Clementi, Yves Edwards, and Houston Alexander are also set to take part in the event.

Why do people go on about roids all the time before someone is proven guilty. I've watched Pudzianowski compete in strongest man competitions for years (which he was heavier in) and its not exactly like they were gonna let them freaks of nature get away with roids.

This fight seems a huge step up in competition anyway

agreed, Pudzianowski was so much bigger and stronger than his first opponent (who also was making his mma debut) who just looked scared in the ring. Sylvia wont be scared of him and this will show us right away if Pudzianowski can be a legit contender. It'll be really interesting to see what both of these guys way in at.

You can actually suggest with a straight face that juicing wouldn't be common in the world's strongest man competitions?...

Put Mariusz against Bobby Lashley. Together that's 50% of the world's muscles in a cage. Tim Sylvia is done.

I dont know if any of you guys pay much attention to the Strong man comps but those guys are all just monsters. Some of them you could question about steroids but some you would not because they are just freaks of nature. Pudzianowski just happens to be one that everyone questions and i guess he does look it but the easiest way to tell if someone is juicing it is the bloated belly look. Pudzianowski does not have that! Lesnar does though lol.

Sivia is done that is why he is getting this fight. A guy who has one fight... that shows that he is not worth anything anymore but a stepping stone for someone else.

He is a type of guy who whatever starts to do he is f**ing great. He is training now with the best polish trainers but his lack of expierence is the one thing that worrie me. With tim he could have problems, but from the other heand he might smash him like a bitch (arlovski((first fight)), fedor, mercer). PUDZIAN IS THE STRONGEST MAN IN MMA THATS NO DOUBT. If he learns sprawls and submissions defence he will be a force to reckon with. btw americans are morons

I dont think that MAriusz does or ever did roids.. i mean he admitted to taking creatine and supplements like that but nothing serious. He is hella strong but he definately has to work on the ground game.. grappling, sub defence and he will be a true competitor. He has a fight on the 7th of may in poland which makes this fight about two weeks earlier so he has to watch out not to get injured or what not, which is highly unlikely due to his luck of experience. I totally want Pudzian to win tho :))
