On March 11th, from the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai, India, Super Fight League presents their inaugural event, SFL 1.

The fight card, which will be headlined by a Super Heavyweight showdown between Bob "The Beast" Sapp and James "The Colossus" Thompson, marks another historic moment in the sport, as it is the first organized professional MMA event in the country.

"I am a huge MMA fan and knowing it's the fastest growing sport in the world, I'd hate to see India get left behind," says Raj Kundra, Founder and Chairman SFL. "Through our professional resources and skills we plan to train and create super fighters out of India. The beauty about MMA is it's not fixed or staged. The results are unpredictable and the fighters require more skill than any other combat sport in the world. It gives me great pleasure along with my partner Sanjay Dutt to introduce you to The Super Fight League."

With a growing roster that already includes such known talents as the aforementioned Sapp and Thompson, as well as former UFC super-prospect Todd Duffee, Strikeforce and Bellator veteran Trevor Prangley, and Russian submission specialist Baga Agaev, SFL 1 will kick off the first off three planned events in 2012.

"SFL will be hosting regular shows and we understand the importance of signing quality fighters to multi fight deals," explains CEO Ken Pavia. "Founders Raj Kundra and Sanjay Dutt have a track record for success.  They told us to go out and find the best and most exciting fighters available and I believe we are doing just that."

Beginning with Sunday's event, fans can catch all of the action LIVE and FREE on the Super Fight League YouTube channel. For more information on the promotion, as well as this weekend's event, visit SuperFightLeague.com.

SFL has lost all credibility with me now.

Any current organisation which takes on Bob Sapp is only in it for freak shows and silly fights, not real fight business.

Bob Sapp may be the worst P4P anyones ever heard of.

Bob Sapp is a big name, bringing alot of attention. Even if they just use hime a few times to generate ad revenue, they will be able to use that money and interest to sign quality guys. They also have Todd Duffee, who still has alot of potential, if he can work on his defense and attitude. Good move by them to bring alot of attention fast, though keeping Sapp around too long will only hurt their image.

Sapp has that look like he sat on his poodle again.

Who says comedy is dead, these two are hilarious.
