Card summed up: a ton of fighters with name recognition but whose talent has been exposed time and time again, and therefore has been bumped by bigger promotions. With the exception of paul daley.
I'd never buy it, i much prefer promotions like bellator, that builds their cards around fighters with potential, not around fighters with name recognition.
pretty much true, also why would a championship fight be a prelim?
Its ok to give guys a chance at redemption tho... They had a couple fighters that are looking to make a name for themselves as well. It was a decent mix really. Of course the main event slots are going to be filled by the bigger names, thats to be expected.
I saw that and chuckled, people say Strikeforce's decisions make no sense. But even they probably aren't dumb enough to put a title fight on the undercard.
Then again you probably have to pay for the pay per view time, and they probably can't afford to pay for a title fight on pay per view ... sad.
Happy it was on tonight, I needed to see some fights.
Damn there were a lot of upsets.
Not a good start for Jardine's return attempt to the UFC, that's for sure.
I earned a grand total of 0 points on that event. That's what I get for picking with the crowd.
Dam, missed almost all my predictions as well! A nice card in the papper but it turned out a boring event. Also, as someone else said, we could witness again some fighters failing to meet the expectations (Sokoudjou and Jardine mostly). It seems the UFC wasnt mad when they cut Jardine and Dailey. Dailey, altough he won, showed again a lot of holes in his game, specially in the takedowns department. Theres no way he can be a top fighter if he doesnt improves that aspect of the game. Also, he had problems making weight again. IMO, unless he changes mentality and starts improving himself in grappling, he will never be a top welterweight...
Paul is Daley's biggest fan. The moment I saw him trash talking and teaming up with KingMo at the Microphone, I saw sad reality.
