The recently reincarnated promotion, ProElite, successfully staged their first event this weekend from the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. In a rematch more than seven years in the making, Kendall Grove needed just 59-seconds to submit Joe Riggs in the headlining bout, while former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski snapped a four-fight losing slump by scoring a third-round stoppage victory over Ray Lopez. Reagan Penn made good on the family name, choking out Paul Gardner in the opening-round and AKA product Mark Ellis submitted Jake Heun in his pro-debut. Also featured was former Olympian Sara McMann, defeating local favorite Raquel Pa'aluhi, as well as Drew McFedries, who was victorious over Garrett Olson.

good for Arlovski
I watched this and it was pretty good, altthough I have to say Arlovski looked dominant over a very LHW fighting at HW and someone who was never that good, and Arlovski was almost rear naked choked at one point and reversed by the much smaller man. I find it hard to believe he will ever be a top HW again
I reiterate; fighting a LHW is dangerous for a HW. See; all of Randy Couture's HW fights including his loss to Lesner. See also; Fedor V Hendo. See also; Big Foot V Kyle. Fighting a LHW is a bad idea for a HW. Even when they win they look bad doing it because LHWs are way more athletic and skilled.
I am happy for Arlovski. I don't see him holding a legit title but there are still some top tier guys he can beat IMHO (even if this wasn't one of them).
