Michael Page Draws Comparison to Anderson Silva in UCMMA Debut

The fight did not last long, but Page displayed an overwhelming amount of confidence on his way to victory. The announcers for the fight compared Page’s performance to Apollo Creed from the Rocky films as well as referring to him as a “UK Anderson Silva.”
Following the fight Page claimed, “There’s a lot more to come from me.”
Page has set the bar high for himself after this spectacular debut, it will be interesting to see how he capitalizes on this victory and how he will fare when he faces higher levels of competition.

a good fighter but he fought a guy who was way smaller and less skilled. beat him but don't taunt him during the fight. I'm just saying being a good sport won't kill you im sure the other guys family would appreciate it.
give him a wrestler should let us know if he is for real.

sorry but proved chit ..,was cool with the kick and hugely confident but was way bigger and fought a guy that they could get to fill the slot cheap a tomato can I mean this guy didn't have to do anything to cut weight he walked around at this weight definitely no braggin rights
He is not bad. But if he wants to be as good as A.Silva , he really needs to find a real master like Steven Seagal to teach him special tricks such as the front-kick.
He should also learn more wrestling. If he does not learn from the brazilian indigenes,its ok. Im sure some African Zulu would be happy to teach him how to wrestle

They called Xavier "Professor X" Foupa-Pokam the next french Anderson Silva, last I looked he had lost 9 of his last ten.

Hard to believe anderson lost his first and he's still the biggest threat to himself, but looks like he's got his ego under control now.
This guy is really talented but its damn hard to keep that up...hilarious and reminiscent of the demian maia fight

hahahhha that guy was funny, (xavier foupa pokam.) when he got punished by his opponent in the UFC ,he tried to run away ,because he was scared .
Unfortunately he couldnt evade, because the cage was closed . hahahaha
it was the first time I saw a fighter running away from the punches (the second time it was lesnar)
it shows him as 2-2 in the video........
It also shows his opponent as having 0 fights and one week to prepare.

I think he did AMAZING performance and if he do it right so will be calling more attention to himself..
Anderson Silva don't dance at front of every opponent and in my point of view i believe MP new about his opponent and showed that much confidence because he know more then anything about his own potential.
I think his future in MMA is going to be bright and he should just make sure to manage himself in a good camp.
And NO i don't think he's at same level of AS right now, need to make it clear or some people just doesn't understand.

Don't forget, with brock gone silva is the guy with the most haters in MMA, so don't be surprised when people cry and hate on anyone who's anything like him.

haha! he kicks him in the chest and just keeps standing there looking at the photographer...who aims the camera at him, then checks where the other guy is to find the bout is finished. page goes like "now u wanna take a picture or not???" and then click.
how can you compare a guy with 35 fights to a guy who just won his first fight... I do think they're talking about skin color and height, even though he looks more like Jon Jones to me.

in that case, Ben Dishman must be the the Travis Lutter of the UK.

basically was a pro against an amateur!
there are so many fighters like this guy who look awesome in the smaller organisations but once they get to either Bellator, SF or UFC they struggle because its the best fighters in the world! (which is why i get annoyed when a fighter in one of these gets called a "can" or "shit") Bisping and Daley were destroying guys easily before getting to the UFC!
lets see how he compares later in his career against better competition who cut weight!
Yeah, the other guy weighed in at 165, well below the welterweight limit and was clearly not even in shape.
That kind of showboating will get him destroyed against any top talent.
Anderson should have this guy shot in a parking lot if he ever wants any fans.
This guy acted the complete opposite of a martial artist in that fight, I hope he gets KTFO by Daley or something.
UNLESS the guy he was facing as being a super dic pre-fight or was being a tool in the staredown maybe pushed him or something, then it's okay to taunt.
