KSW: Mariusz Pudzianowski vs. James Thompson II is now a No Contest
Posted on November 28, 2011, 02:11 PM by Anton GurevichAccording to recent reports from Poland, KSW nullified the result of the (second) fight between Mariusz Pudzianowski and James Thompson, after one of the judges, believe it or not, mistakenly scored the first round in favor of Pudzianowski.
Similar to TUF, KSW bouts are fought two five-minute rounds and one extra round in case of a draw. Thompson expected to go to distance with Pudzianowski, only to realize that the judges surprisingly awarded Mariusz Pudzianowski a Majority Decision, after "The Colossus" clearly dominated the first round and went slightly behind in the second.
More than anything, the bout will be remembered for James Thompson's post-fight outburst, after the Englishman grabbed the mic from the hands of Polish ring announcer and publicly accused KSW of fixing the fight. Such controversy in one way or another plays into KSW's hands, since the promotion are now expected to book the trilogy between its biggest draw Mariusz Pudzianowski and James Thompson.

polish f--king idiots, i hate thompson but he clearly won the first 10-9 or even 10-8 and the second was close cud be called either way, so worse case for thompson it should off went to a third round, and what sickens me is the crowd cheers like crazy for the winner, if that happened anywhere else their would of been boos everywhere 2 faced polish w--kers, their like leeches, move into a country drain it dry the move on to the next country
That 2nd round was pretty freakin entertaining. Not exactly a technique clinic, but it was fun to watch.
