World Wrestling Champion Joe Warren has captured the first title of his career by defeating Joe Soto, in what was probably one of the biggest comebacks in Mixed Martial Arts history. Soto dominated Warren on his feet during the First Round, rocking the Team Quest prodigy on several occasions. But immediately after the start of the Second Round it was all Joe Warren. In a 33-second blitz, Warren delivered a series of powerful punches and one vicious knee, which sent the previously undefeated Champ with his face down to the canvas.

Joe Warren improves his Mixed Martial Arts record to 6-1, with his only loss coming from the hands of the Dream Featherweight Champion Bibiano Fernandes. Warren will square off this month against the Japanese veteran Michihiro Omigawa, at the stacked Dream.16 event on September 25th.

Excellent bout, very entertaining. I have been a fan of Bellator and their format from the get go... Glad to see they are building momentum. I expect this match will capture some headlines and hopefully win over some additional fans. I just hope their legal issues with the UFC do not hinder their progress to much.

That was good but I didn't like the way he was coming in in the 1st round trying to grab Soto really messily. Try that stuff in the WEC you'll be stretchered out before you can say Manny Gamburyan. Omigawa a tough nut too. He's got 1 punch KO power. Warren'll have to be at his best. Amazing he's fighting again so soon though. Looking forward to that fight.
