Invicta FC One Results: Coenen and Penne win in Kansas City

Last night, Invicta Fighting Championship celebrated its first event, taking place at the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas.

In the main event of the night, Marloes Coenen has successfully bounced back from defeat to Miesha Tate, with a convincing performance in Unanimous Decision victory over Romy Ruyssen. Coenen won 30-28 on all scorecards (one 10-8 rounds), improving her MMA record to 20-5.

Co-main event of the night featured Jessica Penne vs. Lisa Ellis-Ward Atomweight action. Penne TKO'd the bloodied-up Ward in Round 3, improving to 9-1 in her MMA career.

Coenen defeated Ruyseen via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26). Romy Ruyssen was deducted a point for grabbing the fence.
