Fedor Emelianenko’s name rings out in MMA circles as one of the best in the history of the sport. In addition to his accomplishments in MMA, Fedor has a long history in the sport of Sambo. This past weekend he added another title in that sport when he defeated his younger brother Aleksandr to capture his seventh Russian Combat Sambo Championship.

The bout didn’t last long, less than ten seconds, afterward Fedor spoke about his victory, “As for the final bout, my brother gave in to me today. He always gives in to me. Did I give my 100 per cent? Let's not talk about that today.” – for more see RT.com

I dont know how this is weak, it would be cool if he went to the UFC, then had a comeback run and beat some top competition...

A bit misleading, they are brothers, they are not going to fight each other. Big brother gets the nod, plus the fact that they both made to the finals is good enough.

I remember people saying that Fedor was young and should be hitting his peak, and hasn't fought all that much. I think most people forget that he's been competing in Combat Sambo far longer then MMA, he might have an excess of over 200 fights combined, that is a lot combat for anybody. Not using this as an excuse but pointing out that he's been fighting a lot for a very long time. The amount of punishment and training has to take a toll on your body.

I'm not saying that was staged, but it sure looked fake.

Alexander didn't look like he was trying at all. Also why didn't they start out punching?

They both made it to the finals, and don't wan to fight each other. I'm pretty sure this has happened on few occasions and they never fight each other, although Fedor usually takes the win, he should let his little brother a win though.

A bear killed his brother with its bare hands and has been impersonating him since.

Surely it would have killed him with its "Bear Hands" i.e. claws?

Fedor is the eldest brother of course he will win. Why would you let your younger brother beat you? if Nick and Nate (Diaz) fights do you think Nick will let Nate win?

Fedor is no doubt one of te best in history, but his camp has ruined him and he will never fight any top people in the world again. His name is slowly fading in the MMA competition. Strikeforce wont even take him anymore. sad.....

Very cool. Training hard with a brother is one thing. But I would never *actually* fight full power with someone I consider a brother. I wouldn't want to live with permanently injuring him, and that risk is always there in full power fighting. Koshchek's face is still numb from GSP's jab, and it will be for the rest of his life.

The above "fight" is how Jon Jones should've handled the Rashad Evans situation. He should've either refused the fight or let his elder brother win the fight (instead of risking permanently injuring him). Either that or he should never have called him a "brother" in the first place. I think that is why so many people called him a fraud after he challenged Rashad. Before that he had been like "oh, we're brothers, I'd never fight him."

Seemed like they were both like, "Ok, lets get this over with." Fedor got the win prob just because he's big bro. I wonder how pissed the promoters were? Seemed like a whole lot of production for such a relatively small scale event. The seizure inducing light show was a bit much, lol.

I am not doubting Alexander's skills in the slightest or anyones but I have noticed in multiple Sambo tournaments when someone gets taken down and put in a pre-armbar posistion they don't move and just let their opponent sink in the arm bar.

Of course they're going to get arm barred if they don't try to defend it but ahwell that's my novice input.

wow, there is alot of gaydor lovers on this site. Fedor knows to stay out of the direct line of top comp whilst in their prime. He wouid be smashed again by Henderson. I some of you think he could beat Bones?
