Bobby Lashley would like to fight Fedor Emelianenko, Dave Bautista
Posted on January 23, 2012, 06:31 PM by Trent ReinsmithThe last time Bobby Lashley stepped inside the cage he captured the Shark Fights Heavyweight championship, defeating Karl Knothe by first round submission. It was Lashley’s first fight on a three-fight deal that he signed with the promotion in September.Lashley recently spoke to FightersOnly about a number of possible opponents for his next bout.
One possibility that was mentioned by Lashley was signing with Bellator, something that Lashley seemed excited about, “It was a contract that was just put on the table... I got the call yesterday so I don't even know any of the details of the deal. I think Bellator is a great company and I would love to be able to fight for them.” If Lashley would sign with Bellator he would join Sean McCorkle as another recent Bellator Heavyweight signing.
Another fighter Lashley mentioned as a fighter he would like to meet was Fedor Emelianenko, a fighter he thinks he would stand a good chance of defeating, “I think that my wrestling would trump some of the things that he has. I know he's a great fighter, but if I fought him then of course I'm going to try and wrestle him down”
A third possibility is a fight against another fighter that, like Lashley, competed in the WWE, Dave Bautista. “I know a lot of people are looking at that fight and saying I shouldn't take it, but that's the entertainment aspect of [MMA]. If the wrestling fans want that then it's an opportunity for me to have a fight, which will probably warrant a good amount of money... I'll take that fight, no problem.” – for more see FightersOnlyMag.com
What do you think Low’Kickers, who would you like to see Bobby Lashley compete against?

....Facing Fedor would be suicidal.
Only thing he should fight is clearly, his roid addiction.
Wow he says it like Fedor is an easy opponent. That was a stupid thing for him to say. Dumb Bobby!
Fedor has been fighting bums just to get some wins on the record. So it doesn't surprise me that a bum like Lashley would call him out. With Fedors recent step down in quality competition this seems like a fight that could possibly happen. Its almost sad to me, Fedor is a legend and from his loses to his latest choice of fights he has people like Lashley wanting to fight him and its actually making news. Like i said, sad very sad. What a fall from grace. I know by saying this about Fedor will get everyone on this site that worships him like a god to get off his nuts long enough to weak this comment and reply with some sort of logic from a parallel mma universe.
he did fight lesser oponents lately but there are still at least two classes between the likes of ishii or monson and lashley
@computerjiujitsusubb; It isn't like Fedor has much choice in who he fights right now. All of the top tier HWs are currently under contract with Zuffa. That means they might as well be in a parallel universe. The guys he is fighting are the best available opponents. Sadly, you are correct though, a fight with Lashley is within the realm of possibility but unless M-1 and Zuffa get together an make a mutually agreeable contract which Zuffa has no reason to do now, who else can he fight?
I know Dave Batista was looking into getting into MMA, but this Bautista guy using his name for promotion is just shameless
im not sure if that is sarcasm, but that guy speak of is the real Bautista, the first name you wrote is the incorrect spelling of his last name. Dave Batista, and Dave Bautista are one in the same person
what an idiot
Would be cool to watch him fight Fedor.... hahaha
Oh Boobie quit trolling
this guy got cardio for 2 min and has no striking and he wanna fight a HW legend, ahahahaha
Bobby vs. Bob Sapp!!!! ohhh wait.
good fight for fedor. i think fedor's downfall was not staying busy, and he needs these kind of fights to get himself back to where he loves it again. if he wants to do it, he can, but he has to put in the work and stay busy cause the fighters today are hitting there maximum potential and there are a lot of overachievers in mma. getting away from m-1 would be a good thing too.
I see you are a victim of the media or you are not even 14 years old, cuz it's clear that you dont know what you r talking about...
your mama knows what i'm talking about. that tyson picture don't scare me cause you aint him bitch.
how about you fight a gas/oxygen tank first huh Dumbobby?
Bobby is no doubt a good fighter (not top 30) but he has good skills and a good base.
I tihnk he is mentioning Fedor not neccesarily cos he thinks the fight will happen.. but because he wants bigger fights...
he needs to stay busy himself and keep fighting all sorts of fighters IE wrestlers, good strikers and decent grapplers...
cos he has fought a couple of big strong guys.. a couple of brawlers and a couple of journeyman.. no one to really show where he stands in MMA...
Let him fight someone like Gylbert Ivel or Arlovski or a really good HW grappler...
if he is serious about becoming a mixed martial artist he should take serious fights and not just gimmicks which is what Batista would be (However should that fight happen i would obvs watch it)
He should run back to the WWE, thats the only other heavyweight title he has a chance on winning.
He should sign with Bellator & get on with his career.
Silly, but lets look at this. Who is there for Fedor outside of Zuffa? There are no fighters within the top 10 that are outside of the UFC and SF.
yup
Lashley vs Rumble..wait rumble still wouldnt make weight.
Him vs Batista is a much better matchup then him vs fedor. Fedor can be 15 yrs past his prime n he'd still mangle lashley. Batista would need some fights before even thinking about lashley tho.
