i have to give it to ninja for showing a huge heart but he was destroyed by watson, he looks better with every fight,
did anyone see brian stann saying he was going to win 2011 breakthrough fighter of the year on mma live?
The Voice's commentary was awesome for that fight last night...
On Watson vs. Ninja
''He's got more combination's than a Mc'Donalds menu''
and...
'' He's seeing more openings than a gynaecologist'' LOL
I just cannot believe this! Whatever happened to the Ninja from the Pride years!?!?!? He fell off the Horse and never got back on!
Ninja took alot of punishment in his career... no possible way he was ever going to return to his old form.
Watson is legit for real guys.
He's a great striker. I don't know how good his wrestling is though. Rua had no trouble taking him down in the first round. He got all the way in on the double in the second round, but didn't have the legs to finish it after eating leg kicks. I don't think Watson would do well against a strong wrestler.
He trains in New Mexico with Jackson and he's been GSP's training partner so it can't be that bad.
Che Mills needs to go to the UFC
Poor game plan by Rua. He was getting destroyed by Watson standing, but had no trouble taking him down. Rua would have had a decided advantage on the ground, but instead chose to stand with Watson the entire fight.
The obvious plan was that rua had to make it ground fight, i think that his leg got so battered he just didnt have the strength to drive through for the takedown. Watson's striking is crisp but im not sure if he lacks the killer instinct or power, but he threw everything at rua and only just finished him when he couldnt walk properly, looked gassed and was basically a stationary target. Same as with reid, he got reid hurt but couldnt get rid of him even though he threw everything at him. He needs to test himself now cos although some people call ninja a big name, real mma fans know what level ninja is really at now.
I don't think that's fair/true. Watson said himself he held back till the 3rd round cos he was wary of Rua. We've seen he has knockout power - just look him up on youtube, the guy can bang.
I like Watson, good striking and great balance and he trains with Jackson so he must have at least a good base of BJJ by now. I think if he beats Trigg he should get the call.
tom watson hs a photoshop'd baby hobbit face
did anybody see the jesse taylor fight? what happened dd he just get out wrestled or did he recieve a sound beating?
