Arona plans to return in October or November
Posted on February 28, 2010, 02:12 PM by NinjaRicardo Arona holds a record of 14 wins and 5 losses, when he fought in Pride Fighting Championship he was considered one of the best Light Heavyweights in the world, however he has only fought once in the last three years and is now planning to return to MMA after a successful knee surgery.
“I injured a ligament in the first round, but at the end of the second round, when I put my foot on the Octagon grid, I must have (torn) my meniscus. From that point on I felt a really hard pain, but I returned in the third round and fought standing up until the bell rang,” said Arona, who had surgery two months ago.
“In July I’ll restart my MMA training,” Arona said. “I got some calls from two American events. I want to be fighting in October or November.”
Arona was the first middleweight to defeat Wanderlei Silva in Pride, he has also beaten high caliber fighters such as; Sakuraba, Henderson, Horn, Mezger and Ninja Rua.
Arona will make both Lightheavy weight or Middleweight division interesting depending on which division he choses to fight in and will make for many exciting match ups such as; the rematch with Shogun or Rampage or a Rubber match against Wanderlei Silva.

If you want to talk about someone on steroids, watch Arona's fight with Dan Henderson. He was FU CKING JACKED !!!!
Pride Fighting... I don't think they tested for Drugs. The Yakuza!
He wont be in the UFC, we can be certain of that.
Casey isnt it time you grow up a littlebit
yah he will i believe he has signed already signed contracts, i could be wrong but i remember alot about this a few months back... either or I hope he comes to the UFC. Palhares/Arona would be a good fight
typo, if he was using steroids he wouldnt be in the UFC we can be certain of that.
I'm sure nostalgic Pride-obsessed people will argue that steroids don't help a fighter win.
You just one of the most annoying guys on lowkick....
hahahah... now thats comedy
I thik it helps actually , It helped GSP to win against Bj Penn. hahahahahaha
nah just being a better fighter did...
shut up you talk bollocks on every post
and they won't help you hit more homeruns,
ment the ston3pony guy haha not guy above me
Stop crying.
sadly, when i think of ricardo arona, i think of how he got gorilla smashed by rampage in pride... He does hold some credible wins, tho
I think that KO was a result of the headbut, not the slam.
KO was because of Arona's head being smashed on the canvas not a headbutt
