Wanderlei Silva States He Has Proof Of Fixed Fights In The UFC

Taking things a massive step further from his asking of fans if the main event of UFC 189 was fixed last week, disgruntled former UFC fighter Wanderlei Silva has come out with the bold statement that he can prove the UFC has fixed fights.

‘The Axe Murderer,’ who recently saw his lifetime ban from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for running from a mandatory drug test prior to his proposed UFC 175 fight with Chael Sonnen lifted, was apparently outraged at the recent controversial firing of longtime cut man Jacob ‘Stitch’ Duran. To get even with the UFC, whom many are starting to view as a money-focused corporation rather than a fight promotion, Wand spoke up on Facebook about the unfortunate situation of ‘Stitch,’ in his native Portuguese as translated by MMAjunkie:

“They fired him. That’s right. They fired ‘Stitch’ for standing against this theft being perpetrated on the athletes. So I wonder, ‘why don’t they fire me?’ I already said I do not want to, nor will I work any more for to this promotion. And they won’t dismiss me. That’s what happens to those who speak the truth in this company; they’re driven out. They have no respect for anyone. I’ve made it very clear to you all that I will never again fight for this promotion, the U.F. Circus. Fixed fights – and I can prove it! I haven’t yet dropped the bomb. I haven’t said everything I know!”

Many have been heavily blasting the UFC for their supposedly restrictive sponsorship deal with Reebok that pays several fighters significantly less than their previous amalgamation of sponsors did. Wand believes that fighters must do what the UFC says or be thrown aside, and he wants to free the suffering athletes from the UFC’s tyranny. In order to accomplish that, he leveled some big accusations at the promotion in a second Facebook post:

“Either you do what they tell you, or you’re fired,” Silva wrote. “I won’t give up until they free the athletes. This promoter is killing our sport. There are fighters going back to work to support their families because they can’t live from the sport alone. They’re very poorly paid. We are getting organized and soon I’ll have news for my brothers in the ring. This will not stand! Some have tried to buy me, but I am not, nor have I ever been for sale. And I will fight to the end, to unmask these promoters, who are deceiving the public, cheating, and taking the dignity and the honor from our sport! This is turning a pro-wrestling show with fixed fights. We have to stop these guys because that’s the end of the line for us!”

There’s obviously been no proof of any fight fixing in the UFC, an act that would undoubtedly be almost a death sentence for the world’s biggest MMA promotion, making it wholly unworth it.

But it Wand does truly have proof of it, the UFC is certainly going to be even more hot water than they currently are. As always, is ‘The Axe Murderer’ spouting off with more sour grapes, or will he actually drop a bombshell on his hated employers sometime soon?
