Outspoken Irish sensation, and interim featherweight champion the “Notorious” Conor McGregor has said that he and women’s bantamweight champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey are at the top of the game in terms of media obligations and star power.

However, at the same time, McGregor will be the first to tell you that he is the face of the UFC, and that he is the “money fight”, and that he is the one taking the promotion to the next level.

While McGregor is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars that the sport has ever seen, Rousey is also a rapidly growing movie star, a best-selling author, and a model.

So who is really the biggest star in mixed martial arts (MMA)?

Well if you ask UFC president Dana White, the answer is simple, it’s Rousey:

“”It’s Ronda Rousey, there’s no doubt about it. Ronda Rousey, they just announced today that she is the new Dalton. ‘Road House’ is going to be re-made and she is going to be the lead. She’s got books and all of these movies coming out and she continues to get bigger and bigger. And her pay-per-views, everything. There has never been a bigger star than Ronda Rousey.” White said on a recent edition of UFC Tonight.

Rousey has definitely done some special things since her entry into the sport. She is a pioneer for women’s MMA, a true superstar in the sport, and it seems as if the sky is the limit for the 135-pound champion.

As far as her future, she has recently signed on to star in an another movie like White said, but she is also scheduled to put her title on the line for the seventh time at UFC 193 in November against decorated former boxing champion Holly Holm.

The interesting thing about her next fight is that it will take place in a 75,000 seat stadium in Australia. The “Rowdy” one will headline the event in hopes of breaking the all-time gate record, something that would once again prove her worth.

So who is the bigger star in your opinion? Rousey or McGregor?
