Ray Sefo promises Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic won't see the final bell on March 10thPosted on February 28, 2012, 01:02 PM by Joey Santosus
K-1 Kickboxing legend and mixed martial artist, Ray Sefo, who will fight Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic under K-1 rules on March 10th, discusses the match-up, as well as his training and preparation as a coach at Xtreme Couture. Sefo expresses his excitement for the bout, explaining that "Cro Cop" has been the only top kickboxer to elude him in his storied career, and promises that the fight will not see the final bell.
"I've fought every top kickboxer in the world, you name it, I've fought every single one of them. "Cro Cop" is the only that we haven't met. We were scheduled to fight each other, he pulled out, and I ended up fighting Mark Hunt. So, the opportunity presented itself again - and I don't need to fight that kind of fight, but because it's not only a challenge, it's a fight that never happened, and I want it to happen, I'm looking forward to it.
I bring just as many, if not more, weapons than he does. He's known for his kicks, he's known for his straight left, but I'm going to bring everything. So, he just better be ready. I promise that fight ain't going to see the final bell. It's not going to see the final bell - I promise you that."
