credit to todd for taking the fight against the reem, after seeing his destruction of rogers and then his clean sweep of k1 i'd say there's few fighters that wanted to step up and fight him. hopefully we'll get to see him defend that dream hw championship a few times during the long breaks between fights at strikeforce.

It was a win win situation for Duffee.

Duffee definitely deserves respect for taking this fight.

When the UFC released Duffee they said it was because he turned down too many fights and they implied that he was faking injuries or illnesses.

This makes that look like a bad excuse, because I am positive the UFC never offered him a fight on this short notice or against anyone of Overeem's caliber.

Next time he fights in Japan, they should give him James Thompson. He'll be back on track after that and i'm sure the Japanese would like to see it.

these interviews are so fkn annoying. after 7 minutes, basically he said he wants to fight in japan again, and he underperformed. at least we know hes hungry

The story in this fight is that Duffee needed the cash, whether or not he was trained or ready. He was thrown into the shark tank--and he had few choices given the economic reality of being cut from the UFC.

The shame is that with more training and experience, I think he could be much better.

@code. thats the truth. he took the fight cos it was a win win win. he got money when he didnt expect to fight, if he won it would have been a huge upset and his stock would have jumped hugely but if he lost then it was expected. I just dont like him keep talking about the time given to train cos he wasnt foprced into the fight, he chose to take it and if he had won then would he keep saying that he only had 7 days to train? he lost badly but it was expected at the stage he is at and the stage reem is at in their careers.

I don't get it. Do people only train for fights after signing contracts to fight? Seems like you should train all the time.

Bahahahaha I just wanted to mention that around the five minute mark, shortly after, watch Duffee, after the translator has been talking for almost a minute, mouth "I said that much??" to someone at the side. I shit my pants laughing

To watch AO basically walk out and KO Duffee was hilarious; he made him look like a rank amateur. The man has true power and some serious skills. I would love to see Alistair in The UFC and in a stand-up fight, I don't think there's a HW in the division, including The Champ, that could hang with this guy.

nor should he regret it, he took a chance fighting somebody who I can't even attempt to describe. He will only get better from fighting world class talent like Overeem.

Regret that it took more than 10 seconds from a Horseman.
