Dream 15 Weigh-Ins: Fighters hit the scale in Saitama, Japan
Posted on July 9, 2010, 09:19 AM by Anton GurevichDream.15 participants hit the scale at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan for the event's official weigh ins. Gegard Mousasi's opponent Jake O'Brien failed to appear for the weigh-ins, as the event organisers announced that the UFC veteran "is still cutting weight". O'brien moved down to Light Heavyweight only a year ago, after fighting most of his career as a 240-pound Heavyweight.
The headliners Shinya Aoki and Tatsuya Kawajiri have successfully made weight for their figh. Aoki will put his Dream Lightweight Title at stake for the first time since the famous fight against Mizuto Hirota at Dynamite!! 2009.
The confused Ricco Rodriguez revealed in his Twitter account (props: BloodyElbow) that Dream offered him to fight Mousasi instead of Jake O'brien. Rodrigues was originally scheduled to fight the Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem, but the fight was canceled due to DREAM's inability to satisfy the Dutchman's ambitions.

Very excited about the Aoki fight, but hope it doesn't turn into another Melendez affair where Kawajiri dances in and out the whole match while Aoki tries to get him to the ground unsuccessfully.
Aoki looks as if he is competing in an open weight tournament!! lol...
If he can wear his Aoki pants, Aoki wil win 4 sure!
Glad some different MMA fights are going on. We need a break from Fedor and Lesnar.
Why did Jake O'Brien not weigh in?????
That was such an awkward weigh in lol.
