DREAM FC returns with "Fight for Japan" event on May 29th

After almost a year-long absence, DREAM Fighting Championship will return on May 29th with a stacked DREAM.17: Fight for Japan event. The fight card includes top names such as Caol Uno, Joachim Hansen, Katsunori Kikuno, Shinya Aoki, Jamie Varner and many others. The event will also feature the first phase of 2011 Bantamweight Japan Tournament, with final and third place bouts rumored to take place sometime in July or August.

DREAM.17 will take place in Saitama Super Arena Hall, which can hold a capacity of up to 7,000 spectators.

Lightweight Bout: Japan Shinya Aoki vs. United States Jamie Varner (rumored)
Featherweight bout: Japan Caol Uno vs. Japan Akiyo Nishiura
Featherweight bout: Japan Mitsuhiro Ishida vs. Norway Joachim Hansen
Lightweight bout: Japan Katsunori Kikuno vs. Japan Daisuke Nakamura

    good to see dream trying to pull through but i think they still need to pay some of the non japanese fighters from their last show

    i thought they were as good as dead.

    Good to see DREAM surviving, i'd much rather have them be the rival promotion to ZUFFA's promotions rather than the others that are out there that imitate the UFC too much.
